Entain is the second album by Finnish producer Sasu Ripatti under the name Vladislav Delay. It was released in 2000 on Mille Plateaux.
The album contains six tracks. Two ("Kohde," "Ele") are different versions of tracks that appeared on Ripatti's first Vladislav Delay album Ele. Two ("Poiko," "Notke") are originals, and two are untitled interludes under two minutes long.
Entain was made the same year as Vocalcity, his acclaimed house album released as Luomo. It contains the same number of tracks and is only two seconds longer.
Allmusic called the album "barely conscious ambience with an unsettling atmosphere" in a four-star review. Almost Cool said of the album: "It’s repetitive and slightly maddening if you’re having any sort of short attention span at all, but if you’re content to simply drift about as it ebbs and flows around you, it can be quite nice."
Pitchfork Media's Nick Sylvester, on the other hand, called it "aimless" and said it was one of "Delay's most difficult listens."
Waking up in these confines (Confines...)
In my thoughs I got my ways to hide it all (to hide it
all...)
Shadows rising, shadows fall
Deep inside I hear them call
I believe I'm done before new dawn
My divide is sleeping filled in my delusions
Strangers we are, still the same as we'd be in love
so bring the morning light and pull the curtains wide
And rise the burning sun
Waking up to realize (Realize...)
Standing out to see the life beyond war
If I'm blinded to collide, in the end I'm crusified
I believe I'm done before new dawn
My divide is sleeping filled in my delusions
Strangers we are, still the the same as we´d be in
love, in the lunar light so pull the curtains tigh
And stands beside me
Strangers we are, still the same as we'd be in love
So bring the morning light and pull the curtains wide
Rise the burning sun
(Solo)
Strangers we are, still the same as we'd be in love
In the lunar light so pull the curtains tight
And stands beside
Strangers we are, still the same as we'd be in love
So bring the morning light and pull the curtains wide
