Enemy Front

Enemy Front is a World War II themed first-person shooter game, developed and published by CI Games for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. The game was first announced in 2011 and was released on June 10, 2014.

Gameplay

Robert Hawkins is an American war correspondent who is caught up with various Resistance groups across Europe during the Second World War. Along the way he finds help in the form of a Norwegian Commando, a German SOE agent and a femme fatale French Resistance fighter, also his Polish allies. The game is played through his flashbacks and will include real historical events, some of it highlighting Nazi atrocities committed in Europe. It also visits theatres of war, such as Poland and Norway, which have remained largely untouched by mainstream western media and especially other World War II first-person shooters. The game has a large amount of focus put on the Warsaw Uprising, with almost half of the levels featuring it.

Front (military)

A military front or battlefront is a contested armed frontier between opposing forces. It can be a local or tactical front, or it can range to a theater. A typical front was the Western Front in France and Belgium in World War I.

Front (oceanography)

In oceanography, a front is a boundary between two distinct water masses. The water masses are defined by moving in different directions, i.e. on one side of the front the water is generally moving in one way, and on the other side of the front, the water is moving in another. Depending on the directions of the water masses, a front may be defined as convergent or divergent. The water masses on either side of a front may also have different temperatures, salinities, or densities, along with differences in other oceanographic markers. While most fronts form and dissipate relatively quickly, some, such as the fronts caused by the antarctic circumpolar current, persist for long periods of time.

Types of Fronts

There are two general front types, convergent fronts and divergent fronts.

Convergent Fronts

Convergent fronts occur when the water masses on both sides of the front are moving towards the front and hence each other. At convergent fronts, the water is often warmer than in the surrounding area, and a buildup of water at the front leads to a slightly higher sea level. This buildup causes increased pressure on the water column, and leads to downwelling at the front. A convergent front may accumulate buoyant material such as marine debris and sargassum which moves to the front with the water masses, but then resists the downward flow of the water. Convergent fronts sometimes support local marine communities by aggregating buoyant organisms in this manner.

Enemy (2015 film)

"Enemy?" is a 2015 Konkani film produced by A. Durga Prasad and by directed by Dinesh P. Bhonsle who has previously directed a Hindi movie called Calapor. Music was composed by Schubert Cotta. The film is slated for December 2015 release.

Plot

In the midst of the festive season, a Goan Catholic family discovers that they have lost their property to the Government and their family honour is at stake. Sanjit, the soldier son has to fight a different battle. As the tension and drama builds up, Sanjit finds himself pushed to the edge. His reaction leads to a gripping climax.

Music director Schubert Cotta has composed the tracks for the film, sung by Myron Mascarenhas with Mecxy Cotta and Jesus Gomes. The lyrics are by Fr. Ubald Fernandes, Fr Vasco Rego SJ, Schubert Cotta and Roque Lazarus. The album was officially released on 7 September 2015.

Enemy (Sevendust song)

"Enemy" is a song by American alternative metal band Sevendust and the lead single from their fourth album, Seasons. It was released on September 25, 2003 with an accompanying music video.

Background and meaning

"Enemy" was written and largely sung by drummer Morgan Rose, who at the time was married to former Coal Chamber bassist Rayna Foss-Rose. The song was written about Coal Chamber frontman Dez Fafara.

"That song is about the person in the world that I hate more than Saddam Hussein," Rose said. "It was good to be able to get that stuff off my chest because I was able to express myself without doing anything stupid that would get me in trouble." Guitarist John Connolly also noted, "Dez is just a piece of shit. He’s just one of those people where, he’s basically a bad person. There’s good people and bad people in this world, and he’s just, he wants to be a good person and he wants to act like a good person, but he’s really just a bad dude and he’s just looking out for himself."
