Emu (beer)

Emu is a beer brand name now owned by Lion. It was originally brewed by the Emu Brewery in 1908 until the brewery's sale to the Swan Brewery in 1927. The production of the Emu branded beer continued from a separate autonomous brewery in Perth until 1978, and then was relocated to a combined brewery in Canning Vale. In 2014 Lion Nathan moved production of both the Emu and Swan beer brands to the company's West End Brewery in South Australia.

Varieties

Emu Bitter

Emu Bitter is a mild bitter lager that has a strong hops taste, which was introduced in 1923 as one of Swan Brewing Companies flagships. The alcohol by volume content of the beer is currently 4.0%. The man pictured on the label is former Swan Brewer Ken Arrowsmith. He oversaw the introduction of Emu Draft and was head brewer during the brands popularity boom in the late 1980s and into the 1990s. Colloquial names for the beer include:"Bush Chooks", "EB" or "Kenny".

In the mid to late 20th century, when Emu Bitter came in large brown bottles with green labels, it was also called "green slime", "green stuff", "green poison" or "kero". These names were frequently used tongue in cheek, or in a derogatory way by those who preferred Swan lager, (often the only readily available alternative), and were a reference to Emu Bitter's green coloured label and its very bitter taste ("kerosene like taste" Swan Lager drinkers would claim). Post WW II, power kerosene in Western Australia was often coloured green and came in brown 26 oz. bottles similar to those used post war for Emu Bitter. These old colloquial names are still sometimes used with affection by some older generation Western Australians who recall the days when beer only came in large brown bottles or out of a keg.

Tze-Chiang Limited Express

The Tze-Chiang Limited Express (Chinese: 自強號; pinyin: Zìqiáng Hào; Wade–Giles: Tzu4-ch'iang2 Hao4), also spelled Tzu-Chiang Limited Express or Ziqiang Limited Express, is a class of express train service operated by the Taiwan Railways Administration (TRA) in Taiwan. Of the 5 service classes operated by the TRA, the Tze-Chiang trains is the fastest category. Ticketing is done on the basis of mileage (NT$2.27 per km with a 10 km minimum fee). This service is operated with 7 different trainsets: the E1000 series push–pull train, the EMU1200 (electric multiple unit), EMU300 (also an EMU), TEMU1000 (Taroko Express), DR2800 (diesel multiple unit), DR3100 (also a DMU), and the TEMU2000 (Puyuma Express). The now-retired EMU100 was the first trainset built for this service, which was used for 30 years, terminating ordinary runs at June 15, 2009.

The Tze-Chiang Limited Express is the Taiwan Railway Administration's highest class of deluxe express passenger train, and is also the class of service with the highest ticket price per mile.

Taiwan Railway EMU700 series

The EMU700 is a series of electric multiple unit train used by the Taiwan Railways Administration. The TRA purchased 160 cars of the series. It was constructed by Nippon Sharyo and Taiwan Rolling Stock Company and began operations on 20 November 2007.

It adopts current rules of Taiwan Railway Administration called RAMS: Reliability; Availability; Maintainability; System Safety. This train series operates as "Local Train" and "Local Express", using the pricing of NT$1.46 per km and person fare system. Sometimes during the holidays it operates as "non-reserved through train".

The EMU700 is nicknamed the "Suneo train" (阿福號) due to the resemblance of its front cab design with that of the character Suneo Honekawa from the Japanese manga and anime series Doraemon. A lunchbox counter designed in the style of the EMU700 front cab also exists at Platform 2 of Shulin Station in New Taipei City, Taiwan since July 2009.

Design

The EMU700 has distinctive hinged nose cone unlike its predecessors in the EMU line with smooth fronts.

The episode's name is a play on the Red Badge of Courage.

Plot synopsis

As the entire town of South Park is preparing to hold its annual American Civil War reenactment of the (fictional) Battle of Tamarack Hill, the children rehearse as a Union Army rally band.

In the morning of the reenactment, Jimbo informs the reenactors that over 200 people will come to see them reenact the battle, setting a new record. He also takes the time to remind everyone that the primary sponsor of their event is Jagerminz S'more-flavored Schnapps, "the schnapps with the delightful taste of s'mores." In addition, the special guest will be Stan's grandpa, Marvin Marsh. Meanwhile, Cartman comes dressed as General Robert E. Lee, and the boys are outraged by his dressing as a Confederate officer. Evidently under the impression that the reenactment is a competition of some sort, Cartman bets that the South will win the Civil War, and if it does, Stan and Kyle will be his slaves for a month, or vice versa. Knowing that the outcome is supposed to be historical victory for the North as planned, Stan and Kyle eagerly accept the challenge.

    All I Have

    by: Amerie

    I feel so unsure
    Trembling you open your door
    Your eyes glistening
Silly me I'm already missing you
And this is all I have (All I have)
    All I have to give
    All I have to give
    This one last kiss
    I know it's not enough
Though our love will never end (no)
    One more touch
    Is all I have
    All I have
You said that we'd forever be in love
And you showed me life like I never knew
Things I never even dreamed of
But your smile just don't seem the same
And when you tell me you feel it too
I'm not sure who's to blame
    Cause I gave everything
And this is all I have (All I have)
All I have to give (To give)
All I have to give (To give you)
This one last kiss (This one last kiss)
I know it's not enough (oh, oh)
Though our love will never end (yeah, hey)
    One more touch (whoa)
