Emotional (K-Ci and JoJo album)

Emotional is the fourth studio album by American R&B duo and brothers K-Ci & JoJo, released on November 26, 2002 on MCA Records. Recording sessions took place at K-Ci & JoJo's home in Los Angeles, California during 2002. Production was handled by JoJo and several other recording producers, including Babyface, Rodney Jerkins and Mike Smoov, including others. It produced two singles: "It's Me" and "This Very Moment", with the latter charting on the US Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs.

Commercial performance

The album peaked at number 61 on the US Billboard 200 and number 18 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums. It was the first K-Ci & JoJo album to not chart internationally nor be certified by the Recording Industry Association of America .

Critical response

Upon its release, Emotional has received average reviews from critics, claiming nothing "stands out" from other R&B albums.

Casely (born Jean-Carlos Casely 30 November 1985) is an American Pop artist from Miami, Florida. In 2005, he released his debut album I'll Be on the 1st Records label. The album caught the attention of the Diaz Brothers, who signed him to their own division of Epic Records in 2007. His second album, 1985, was in development in 2008 but never released; its lead-off single, "Emotional" (which Casely wrote himself), was released in February 2008 and entered the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts. He signed to Ultra Records in 2011–2012 with the release of his single "Neva Fall". Casely currently has a new band, Casely and the Jank, and they have recently released their debut EP "Brick: the Collection 2014".

Pearl was an American literary journal published between 1974 and 2014 in Long Beach, California.

History and profile

Pearl was founded by Joan Jobe Smith in 1974. The first issue appeared in May 1974. It was edited by Joan Jobe Smith, Marilyn Johnson, and Barbara Hauk. Pearl was based in Long Beach. It released an annual fiction issue and an annual poetry issue as well as hosting an annual poetry prize.

After several issues published Pearl went defunct until 1986 when Joan Jobe Smith and Marilyn Johnson relaunched it.

The magazine ceased publication in 2014.

Whirlpool (Chapterhouse album)

Whirlpool is the debut album by British shoegazing band Chapterhouse. The album was reissued in 2006, on the label Cherry Red, with seven bonus tracks taken from three EPs (Freefall, Sunburst, and Pearl) released in the same time frame as the album. The Cherry Red reissue also included, for the first time, lyrics to all of the songs. The album spent 3 weeks in the UK Album chart in 1991, peaking at 23.
