Elize Hele or Elizeus Hele (1560–1635) was an English lawyer and philanthropist. In 1632, Hele transferred his lands into a trust that was intended for "pious uses". The trustees included his wife, John Hele and a number of trusted friends. The trust was used to create a number of schools in Devon including Hele's School.
Hele was the elder of two sons of Walter Hele, and he was born in 1560 at Winston Manor in the parish of Brixton near Plympton, Devon. His uncle, John Hele, was the Recorder of Exeter in 1592, and M.P. for the same city 1593–1601.
Hele was a lawyer of the Inner Temple in London. He was called to the bar in 1590 and to the bench in 1603. He was the treasurer to James I. He was a major landowner in south and west Devon. After his only child, Walter, died at the age of eleven, Hele decided to bequeath a number of his estates for “some godly purposes and charitable uses”.
A deed was signed on 9 January 1632 between Elize Hele, John Maynard, later Sir John Maynard, John Hele and Elize Stert in which Elize Hele dedicated his estate to charitable and godly use. Elize Hele included the manors of Fardel, Dinnaton, Brixton Reigny, Cofleet, Halwill, Teignharvey, Clyst St Lawrence and Clyst Gerrard and Woolvington rectory and St Giles in the Heath.
Élise, Elise or Elize is a feminine given name of French origin.
Elise van der Horst (born 22 July 1982), better known as EliZe, is a Dutch singer. In 2010 she moved to Los Angeles, California.
As an eight-year-old she was selected to sing in a children's television show, Kinderen voor Kinderen ("Children for Children"), in which she performed for six years. After that she joined "Non Stop", a teenage choir, and participated in two amateur productions of the musicals Chicago and Les Misérables.
In 2004, EliZe recorded an album in Denmark. The songs were written and produced by Peter Hartmann and Jan Langhoff, who also worked with Aqua. The first single, "Shake", was released in 2004 in the Netherlands. Though the song received the title "Dancesmash!" by Radio 538, the single was a modest hit by peaking at number 32 on the Dutch Top 40. "Automatic (I'm Talking to You)", the second single, was released in 2005 in the Netherlands and also earned the title "Dancesmash!" shortly after its release. The song became her signature song, peaking at number 7 there and becoming her best-selling single to date. It is also the first song that has ever charted outside the Netherlands, charting in Finland and Belgium amongst others in the top 20. Her third single, "I'm No Latino", was released in August 2005, and became a TMF Superclip shortly after its introduction. The song did not perform as well as "Automatic" did, but still managed to peak at number 14 on the Dutch Top 40 and to remain in the chart for 6 weeks.
You were broken like a vase that fell,
There you lay scattered and broken,
But still too proud for your shelf.
He did his "best" to mend your shattered fault lines of cracked porcelain but it was a waste of his time..
Most of your life, you were nothing but his trophy wife, and you just can't take it anymore.
Not too long after you exchanged your vows,
He snuck off late at night, sleeping around, but like a good wife should, you just looked the other way.
"baby, I swear it's not what you think. You just need to calm down, why don't you make another drink?"
