"Ele e ela" ("He and she") was the Portuguese entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 1966, performed in Portuguese by Madalena Iglésias.
The song is in the chanson style, popular in the early years of the Contest. Iglésias describes the happiness of two people in love - "he" being slightly shy, "she" being beautiful.
The song was performed eighth on the night, following Finland's Ann Christine with "Playboy" and preceding Austria's Udo Jürgens with "Merci Chérie". At the close of voting, it had received 6 points, placing 13th (the third time in succession that Portugal had placed 13th) in a field of 18.
The song became a huge evergreen in Portugal and it is arguably one of the most well known and loved Portuguese entries in Portugal.
It was succeeded as Portuguese representative at the 1967 contest by Eduardo Nascimento with "O vento mudou".

Basque Workers' Solidarity (in Basque: Eusko Langileen Alkartasuna (ELA), in Spanish: Solidaridad de Trabajadores Vascos(STV)) is the most influential trade union in Basque Country, having been created, as Solidaridad de Obreros Vascos, by members of the Basque Nationalist Party on June 10, 1911, in Bilbao.
It was opposed to the influence of trade unions who appealed to a working class ethos (Socialist UGT and Anarchist CNT), advocating instead a Basque nationalist outlook. Initially, ELA-STV was centered on projects of mutual assistance between its affiliates, as a vehicle for social security. It expanded with much more success in Guipúzcoa and Biscay than in Navarre and Álava.
ELA-STV was caught in the fighting of the Spanish Civil War, and banned by the Franco dictatorship. It reemerged in 1976, during the transition to democracy. Today, it has over 105,000 members.
In the 70's ELA abandoned its original social-christian ideology in favour of more socialist positions, recognizing the importance and validity of the class struggle, breaking with the Basque Nationalist Party and approaching LAB.
Ele is Finnish producer Sasu Ripatti's debut full-length album as Vladislav Delay. It was released in 1999 on the Australian label Sigma Editions.
The tracks on Ele average over twenty minutes in length. Two of the tracks, "Kohde" and the title track, were reworked in shorter versions on Delay's second album Entain.
Allmusic gave it three stars, comparing his music to that of Steve Reich, Oval, Thomas Brinkmann, and Pole and calling it Delay's "defining point-of-departure in defining a new hybrid dub, minimalism, IDM, post-techno music."

what would it take
to turn your heart my way
to move you with each word that i say
'cause i just want to learn
and i just want to know
i just want to hold you baby forever
chances like these are seldom and few
and this is one chance i'm not going to lose
so forgive my emotions for speaking out loud
but every time you're around i won't say
whatever you want
just say the words
i'd buy you the stars
for whatever they're worth
to spell out this love across the universe
i'll do whatever you want
you can swear upon this love
for whatever you want
just one kiss
would seal our fate
just one chance is all it takes
so open your soul
and let me in
it's up to you baby
to let this love begin
whatever you want
just say the words
i'd buy you the stars
for whatever they're worth
to spell out this love across the universe
i'll do whatever you want
you can swear upon this love
for whatever you want
you're the dream
i've been waiting for
in a world where dreams are fleeting
your love is a miracle
that my soul been needing
whatever you want
just say the words
i'd buy you the stars
for whatever they're worth
to spell out this love across the universe
i'll do whatever you want
you can swear upon this love
for whatever you want
whatever you want
just say the words
i'd buy you the stars
for whatever they're worth
to spell out this love across the universe
i'll do whatever you want
you can swear upon this love
for whatever you want
whatever you, whatever you want
whatever you, whatever you want
whatever you, whatever you want
for whatever you want
