Ek Mulaqat

Ek Mulaqat is a talk show on India’s public broadcaster – Doordarshan News. It is hosted by the journalist Manoj Tibrewal Aakash. The show currently runs on Saturdays 2130 hrs with repeat Sundays 2330 hrs Indian time.

Several Indian Cabinet Ministers, Members of Indian Parliament, industrialists and Bollywood personalities have featured in this programme. These include Ambika Soni, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Naveen Jindal, Vilasrao Deshmukh, Deepika Padukone, Javed Akhtar, Mohinder Amarnath, and Dr. S.Y. Quraishi.

In August 2010, on the show, noted Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone praised the young Indian Member of Parliament, Rahul Gandhi as a “classical role model” for youth and expressed the hope that he leads India as prime minister one day.
