Eastridge Mall

Eastridge Mall can refer to one of the following shopping malls:

Eastridge Mall (Casper)

Eastridge Mall is an enclosed shopping mall located in Casper, Wyoming at the city's busiest intersection, east Second Street and southeast Wyoming Boulevard. It is one of only three shopping malls in the entire state.

Opened in 1982, the 570,000 square foot mall is the largest in the State of Wyoming, boasting over 90 shops, as well as a food court. Eastridge Mall is owned by General Growth Properties.

The mall is anchored by Target, Sears, JC Penney, Macys (formerly The Bon Marché), Dick's Sporting Goods, Best Buy, and Bed Bath & Beyond.

History

The mall opened late in 1982 with JCPenney, Sears, and Target, followed by The Bon Marché in early 1983. Dick's Sporting Goods opened its first Wyoming store in the mall in 2013.

Eastridge Mall (Gastonia)

Eastridge Mall, formerly known (2002-2013) as Westfield Shoppingtown Eastridge (or Westfield Eastridge), is a regional shopping mall located in Gastonia, North Carolina, and is 19 miles (31 km) west of uptown Charlotte, North Carolina. Opened in 1976, it is located off Interstate 85 at exit 20, N. New Hope Road (North Carolina Highway 279), and the mall houses around 70 stores.

As part of the mall's sale, the mall reverted to its former name, Eastridge Mall.

Anchors

Matthews Belk

Matthews Belk is an original anchor tenant of this mall. While the other anchor stores relocated during the late-1990s renovations, Matthews Belk anchor remained in place but underwent extensive interior renovation.

JCPenney

JCPenney is an original anchor tenant of this mall, although the store is no longer in its original location. In 1997, a new 104,000 sq ft (9,660 m²) JCPenney store was built on the northwest side of the mall and the old location was demolished.

Dillard's

The third anchor store when the mall opened in 1976 was an Ivey's department store. In May 1990, the entire Ivey's chain was acquired by Dillard's which promptly rebranded the Eastridge store with the Dillard's name. A new 202,000 sq ft (18,800 m²) Dillard's location was constructed on the former JCPenney site in 1998.

Eastridge

Eastridge is a 1.4 million square foot (GLA) shopping mall owned by General Growth Properties, and located in between Tully Road, East Capitol Expressway, and Quimby Road in eastern San Jose, California. The mall has an enclosed shopping area, restaurants and theaters. It is a split level mall, with part of the mall being 3 levels, and part of it being 2 levels.

History

It was opened on May 17, 1971 with the original anchors: Macy's, Liberty House, J. C. Penney, Joseph Magnin Co., and Sears. Eastridge was the largest enclosed shopping mall in the West. Emporium-Capwell replaced Liberty House when the chain pulled out of California. After Macy's bought Emporium-Capwell, they shuttered the store. It sat vacant until the 2005 remodel when they demolished the store.

In 2005 a major remodeling brought in an AMC Theatres and outdoor streetscape, with tenants such as Barnes & Noble and Bed Bath & Beyond. Other new stores continue to open inside, as well. The general consensus is that the renovation is a success.
