Dudley E. Faver

Major General Dudley Ervin Faver (August 17, 1916 – August 5, 2011) was a retired United States Air Force Major General who was director, Secretary of the Air Force Personnel Council, Washington, D.C.

Early life

Faver was born in 1916 in Sweetwater, Texas. He graduated in 1933 from Newman High School, Sweetwater, Texas and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1937 at Abilene Christian College in Abilene, Texas. After graduation, he taught at Levelland High School in Levelland, Texas, in which he eventually became the principal. He became a qualified pilot while awaiting assignment to flight training and obtained his private flying license in 1940.

Faver entered the Army Air Corps as an aviation cadet in March 1941. He attended primary flight training at the Ryan School of Aeronautics in Hemet, California, basic flight training at Moffett Field, California and advanced flight training at Mather Air Field, California. He graduated from flight training in the Class of 41-H and received his commission as a second lieutenant in October 1941. His first assignment was to Mather Air Field as a flight instructor where he continued until March 1943 and conducted training in all three phases of flight instruction.

Dudley (ⁱ/ˈdʌdli/) is a large town in the West Midlands of England, 6 miles (9.7 km) south-east of Wolverhampton and 8 miles (13 km) north-west of Birmingham. The town is the administrative centre of the Metropolitan Borough of Dudley and in 2011 had a population of 83,727. The Metropolitan Borough, which includes the towns of Stourbridge and Halesowen, had a population of 312,900. Dudley is sometimes called the capital of the Black Country.

Originally a market town, Dudley was one of the birthplaces of the Industrial Revolution and grew into an industrial centre in the 19th century with its iron, coal, and limestone industries before their decline and the relocation of its commercial centre to the nearby Merry Hill Shopping Centre in the 1980s. Tourist attractions include Dudley Zoo, Dudley Castle, the Black Country Living Museum and the historic marketplace.

Dudley has a history dating back to Anglo-Saxon times, its name deriving from the Old English Duddan Leah, meaning Dudda's clearing, and one of its churches being named in honour of the Anglo-Saxon King and Saint, Edmund.

Street Fighter III

Street Fighter III: New Generation (ストリートファイターⅢ NEW GENERATION) is a fighting game in Capcom's Street Fighter series, originally released as coin-operated arcade game in 1997. Street Fighter III was produced for the CD-ROM-based CP System III hardware, which allowed for more elaborate 2D graphics than the CPS II-based Street Fighter Alpha games (the previous incarnation of the Street Fighter series), while revamping many of the play mechanics. The game, which was designed as a direct sequel to Street Fighter II, initially discarded every previous character except for Ryu and Ken (hence the "New Generation" subtitle), introducing an all-new roster led by Alex. Likewise, a new antagonist named Gill took over M. Bison's role from the previous games as the new boss character.

Street Fighter III was followed by two updates: Street Fighter III 2nd Impact in 1997 and Street Fighter III 3rd Strike in 1999. A single home version of the game was released for the Dreamcast in a two-in-one compilation titled Street Fighter III: Double Impact, which also included 2nd Impact.

Faver (German: Fafer) is a comune (municipality) in Trentino in the northern Italian region Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, located about 15 kilometres (9 mi) northeast of Trento. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 809 and an area of 9.4 square kilometres (3.6 sq mi).

Faver borders the following municipalities: Salorno, Valda, Segonzano and Cembra.
