Dry (rapper)

Landry Delica better known by his stage name Dry (born 19 November 1977) is a French rapper of Congolese origin. He is also known by the aliases "L'Amiral" and "L'Intransférable".

Landry Delica grew up in Sevran in Seine-Saint-Denis, outside of Paris, where he was friends with the rapper Nessbeal before moving in 1991 to Orly in the Val-de-Marne.

In addition to his solo work, Dry is a member of French rap group Intouchable alongside band member Demon One (real name Hakim Sid). He is also part of the French rap collective Mafia K-1 Fry (sometimes stylized as Mafia K'1 Fry) alongside the other Intouchable member Demon One. Intouchable, Dry and Demon One had a lot of collaborations with other members of the collective.

As member of Mafia K-1 Fry, Dry took part in albums by rappers Ideal J, Rohff and 113 before releasing with Intouchable the 2000 album Les points sur les I. In 2004, he took part in the third album Rohff La fierté des nôtres and in the compilation Street Lourd Hall Stars with "La hass" featuring Kamelancien, de Bicêtre -94-, and Rohff. In 2005, Intouchable released their second album La vie de rêve with a joint title "La gagne" featuring Tonton David. Dry has also been featured on a number of Sexion d'Assaut rap band.

Dry (group)

Dry is a Cantopop music duo that formed between 1997 and 1998 with Mark Lui (Chinese: 雷頌德) and Stephen Fung (Chinese: 馮德倫) as bandmates. The group was formed when Mark decided to create a band with himself and another person. After meeting Stephen through friends introductions, they agreed to start a music duo with Universal Music. A year after they formed, they decided to part ways to pursue different career paths. Mark continued as songwriter to many cantopop artists such as Leon Lai and Miriam Yeung. While Stephen started his career in acting and later shift toward to directing and producing Hong Kong films such as Enter the Phoenix.

Even the group only lasted about a year, they have produced 3 studio albums and one compilation album.

Dry (memoir)

Dry is a memoir written by American writer Augusten Burroughs. It describes the author's battle with alcoholism. Dry was written before Running With Scissors, but was published second.Dry reached number 24 on the New York Times Best Seller list for Hardcover Nonfiction.

Although the memoir is based on actual events, the first pages include this author's note: "This memoir is based on my experiences over a ten-year period. Names have been changed, characters combined, and events compressed. Certain episodes are imaginative re-creation, and those episodes are not intended to portray actual events."

Synopsis

The first part of the memoir centers on Burroughs' intervention by his co-workers and boss as well as his time spent at a rehab facility that caters specifically to gay and lesbian patients. The second part of the novel deals with Burroughs' first bout with sobriety since leaving the rehab program. He meets a love interest at his group therapy sessions and takes in a fellow addict in recovery. Part II also shows the decline in health in Burroughs' ex-boyfriend and current friend, only named Pighead in the memoir. Pighead is living with HIV, and although healthy in the beginning of the book, he eventually succumbs to the effects of HIV. The death of his friend sends Burroughs into a relapse, including drinking, cocaine and crack. The memoir ends with Burroughs getting clean and helping another alcoholic friend of his through his recovery.

Dust

Dust consists of particles in the atmosphere that come from various sources such as soil, dust lifted by weather (an aeolian process), volcanic eruptions, and pollution. Dust in homes, offices, and other human environments contains small amounts of plant pollen, human and animal hairs, textile fibers, paper fibers, minerals from outdoor soil, human skin cells, burnt meteorite particles, and many other materials which may be found in the local environment.

Domestic dust and humans

House dust mites are present indoors wherever humans live. Positive tests for dust mite allergies are extremely common among people with asthma. Dust mites are microscopic arachnids whose primary food is dead human skin cells, but they do not live on living people. They and their faeces and other allergens they produce are major constituents of house dust, but because they are so heavy they are not suspended for long in the air. They are generally found on the floor and other surfaces until disturbed (by walking, for example). It could take somewhere between twenty minutes and two hours for dust mites to settle back down out of the air.

Dust (Benjy Davis Project album)

Dust is Benjy Davis Project's third studio album. It was released on September 18, 2007. Benjy Davis Project was soon signed to Rock Ridge Music in August 2008, and re-released Dust on November 4, 2008. The new release was remixed and included three new songs. The song "Sweet Southern Moon" was featured in an advertisement campaign for Louisiana-based Abita Brewing Company.

Toz (means "dust" in Turkish) is a Turkish short film. It gained a number of awards at various film festivals in the category of short films.

The film is a series of microepisodes that portray elements of an imperfect relationship of a couple: abuse, control, incomprehension, acceptance.
