Driven

Driven is a 2001 action drama film directed by Renny Harlin and starring Sylvester Stallone, who also wrote and produced. It centers on a young racing driver's effort to win the Champ Car World Series auto racing championship. Prior to production of the movie, Stallone was seen at many Formula 1 races, but he was unable to procure enough information about the category due to the secrecy with which teams protect their cars, so he decided to base the film on Champ Car.

Stallone now says he regrets making the film.

Plot

Halfway through the (Fictionalized) 2001 Champ Car season, rookie driver Jimmy Bly has already won 5 races. His brother/business manager Demille is seems more concerned with working out endorsement deals and press engagements than racing, putting tremendous pressure upon Jimmy. His success has also drawn the ire of the reigning champion and series points leader Beau Brandenburg, who believes he's not doing as well as he should because of his fiancée Sophia becoming "a distraction". He breaks up the engagement and he regains his winning ways.

Driven (2016 film)

Driven is an upcoming Pakistani action crime-thriller film directed and written by Michael Hudson. The film stars Kamran Faiq, Amna Ilyas, Javed Sheikh, Adnan Shah, Rehan Sheikh, Omair Rana, and Najia Baig.

Production

The film was mostly written in English language for the "educated audience," while Urdu had also been used at some parts. British director Michael Hudson developed the script based on the real-life events of actor Kamran Faiq, who would also appear and produce the film. The script was very difficult to write because Hudson had never been to Pakistan before, so he got Faiq's help in writing the script. The other cast included Javed Sheikh, Amna Ilyas, Adnan Shah Tipu, Rehan Sheikh, and Omair Rana. The film would be a co-production of Pakistan, Poland, UK and Russia.

Filming

Principal photography on the film was done in Lahore, Pakistan, the location was chosen by the director who thought the script was a perfect fit in the country. In May 2015, filming was underway.

Driven (Sevendust song)

Driven is the lead single from the album Alpha by the heavy metal band Sevendust. "Driven" was the band's highest charting single (matched only by "Enemy"), peaking at #10 on the Mainstream Rock Charts, and since surpassed only by "Unraveling", which peaked at #7.

Music video

The Music video, which was shot in Haverhill, Massachusetts during the band's reheasral for their 2007 tour, features rare behind-the-scenes footage of the band's members as they prepare material from their sixth album Alpha. The video debuted nationwide on March 3 and was featured on the "Headbangers Ball" program on cable channel MTV2 on March 10.

Mica

The mica group of sheet silicate (phyllosilicate) minerals includes several closely related materials having nearly perfect basal cleavage. All are monoclinic, with a tendency towards pseudohexagonal crystals, and are similar in chemical composition. Tevita Fifita (born May 7, 1983) is a Tongan-American professional wrestler better known by his ring name Micah while his status with TNA is unknown. He is best known for working for WWE under the name Camacho between 2011 and 2014. He previously worked in WWE's developmental territory, Florida Championship Wrestling, under the name Donny Marlow where he was a one-time FCW Florida Tag Team Champion with CJ Parker. Part of a large wrestling family, he is the cousin of Bad Luck Fale, adoptive brother of Tama Tonga, and the son of Haku.

Early years

Born in Kissimmee, Florida, Fifita attended the University of Texas at El Paso [UTEP], where he played football as a defensive end. And graduated with a degree in Liberal Arts with major in Communications Electronic Media and minor in criminal justice.

On February 10, 2009, Fifita signed a developmental contract with World Wrestling Entertainment and was assigned to its developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW) as "Tonga". In March, he became known as Agent T., as part of Washington's Secret Service stable alongside Agent D. and Agent C, He later changed his name to Donny Marlow. On July 21, 2011, Marlow and CJ Parker defeated Calvin Raines and Big E. Langston to win the FCW Florida Tag Team Championship. On November 3, Marlow and Parker lost the Tag Team Championship to Brad Maddox and Briley Pierce.

MHC class I polypeptide-related sequence A

MHC class I polypeptide-related sequence A (MICA) is a cell surface glycoprotein encoded by the MICA gene located within MHC locus. MICA is related to MHC class I and has similar domain structure, which is made up of external α1α2α3 domain, transmembrane segment and C-terminal cytoplasmic tail. However, MICA is not associated with β2-microglobulin nor binds peptides as conventional MHC class I molecules do. MICA rather functions as a stress-induced ligand for NKG2D receptor. For example, the heat shock stress pathway is involved in the regulation of MICA expression as transcription of MICA is regulated by promoter heat shock element. MICA is broadly recognized by NK cells, γδ T cells, and CD8⁺ αβ T cells which carry NKG2D receptor on their cell surface. As a result of NKG2D-MICA engagement, effector cytolytic responses of T cells and NK cells against epithelial tumor cells expressing MICA are initiated.
