Drew Fulk (aka WZRD BLD) is an American songwriter and producer based in Los Angeles, CA. Drew has worked with artists such as Motionless In White , Crown the Empire, Fear Factory, We Came as Romans, The Amity Affliction, Blessthefall, Chris Lane, and Failure Anthem.
Drew Fulk was born in Kernersville, NC on May 1, 1987. He attended Wesleyan Christian Academy in High Point, NC from kindergarten through the end of high school. He began his musical career during his junior year by agreeing to play drums in a punk rock band and play shows on the weekend. As time went on his love for the studio outgrew that of playing live and Drew decided to focus solely on songwriting and producing. After high school Drew was accepted into the Bryan Business School at UNCG majoring in Economics for three years in Greensboro, NC before dropping out with one year remaining. He built and opened his first studio named Think Sound where he operated full-time for five years. In North Carolina, Drew worked with such notable artists as Motionless in White,Upon a Burning Body, Heartist, For All Those Sleeping,Myka Relocate, and many more. This time period is considered to be a transitionary one where Drew's work went from being strictly an engineer/producer to a more hands approach in the actual songwriting and arrangement of his client's productions. Through that He ended up signing his first publishing deal with Roadrunner Records sister company Robot of the Century who eventually ended up being sold to Nettwerk in 2015.
Pouring up the wine from yesterday
It tastes the same today
Awakes the lynx in me
Songs have often drawn me by their tales
An urge to set the sails
And go beyond the whales
Gathering the best in everything
And all the places where I used to go
Wondering still not wandering
A cowards heart refuses me to know
Swallowing a journey from a glass
Dividing emptiness and wine becomes a gas
All I have is what I need to give
In songs I breathe and live
The source will never leave
Gathering the best in everything....
In this travelogue I went nowhere
But my brain was always in the air....out somewhere
Since the day I heard the dring I never left my chair
I never left my chair... I never left my chair.....
All I ever wanted was to swim and drown my fear of swimming...(and the water)
And on the other side to find the peace of soul and mind and you and I
A tickle in my nose of distant hills, beneath the crows upon the blue, I want to go
