Dragon Quest

Dragon Quest (Japanese: ドラゴンクエスト, Hepburn: Doragon Kuesuto), published as Dragon Warrior in North America until 2005, is a series of internationally best-selling console role-playing video game (RPG) titles created by Yuji Horii and his studio, Armor Project.

The series is published by Square Enix (formerly Enix), with localized versions of later installments for the Nintendo DS (NDS) being published by Nintendo outside Japan. With its first title published in 1986, there are currently ten main-series titles, along with numerous spin-off games. Nearly every game in the main series has either an anime or manga adaptation, or both. The series has had a significant impact on the development of console RPGs, and introduced a number of features to the genre. Installments of the series have appeared on MSX computers, Nintendo Entertainment System, Super Nintendo Entertainment System, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS, PlayStation, PlayStation 2 and Wii video game consoles, and several models of mobile phones. Each Dragon Quest video game soundtrack is arranged into an orchestral piece and the video game series is the first to have live-action ballet adaptations.

Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride

Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride (ドラゴンクエストV 天空の花嫁, Doragon Kuesuto Faibu Tenkū no Hanayome, lit. "Dragon Quest V: The Heavenly Bride"), known as Dragon Quest: The Hand of the Heavenly Bride in Europe, is a role-playing video game and the fifth installment in the Dragon Quest video game series. Originally developed by Chunsoft and published by Enix Corporation, Dragon Quest V was the first title in the series to be released for the Nintendo Super Famicom (SFC) video game console in Japan on September 27, 1992. It has since been remade for the PlayStation 2 in 2004; which was developed by ArtePiazza and Matrix Software, and published by Square Enix only in Japan. Another remake was made for the Nintendo DS, and was released on July 17, 2008 in Japan. The remake was also released in North America and Europe, marking the first time the game had an official release in either territory. The game was released on February 17, 2009 for the North American market. A version of the game for Android and iOS was released in Japan on December 12, 2014, and worldwide in English on January 22, 2015.

Dragon Quest II

Dragon Quest II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line, also titled Dragon Quest II: Akuryō No Kamigami (ドラゴンクエストII 悪霊の神々, lit. "Dragon Quest II: Gods of the Evil Spirits") in Japan and Dragon Warrior II in earlier North American releases, is a role-playing video game (RPG) developed by Chunsoft and published by Enix (now known as Square Enix) in 1987 for the Family Computer (or Famicom) as a part of the Dragon Quest series. Enix's U.S. subsidiary developed the American version of Dragon Quest II, publishing the game for the Nintendo Entertainment System (or NES) there in 1990.

Dragon Quest II is set a hundred years after the events of the first game. The game's story centers on the prince of Midenhall, who is ordered to stop an evil wizard named Hargon after Hargon destroys Moonbrooke Castle. On his adventure, he is accompanied by his two cousins, the prince of Cannock and the princess of Moonbrooke. Dragon Quest II greatly expands on the series formula from the first game by having a larger party, more areas to explore, multiple heroes and enemies in a battle, and a sailing ship.
