Tell 'Em

"Tell 'Em" is a song by American music duo Sleigh Bells from their debut album Treats. Written by Miller and sung by Alexis Krauss, the song is the album's opening track, and was released as its lead single.

Prior to the album's release, the track was available as a free download on April 28, 2010 via the Mom + Pop website. It was well received by critics, and frequently noted as a highlight of the album. The song was released to U.S. radio stations on April 28, 2010, but it failed to enter any charts.

Writing and recording

In an interview with Drowned in Sound, Krauss referred to the song among others as "more collaborative in terms of me doing more work on melodies, harmonies and we plan on further explorations of this in the future." Miller, when asked about the duo's loud sound, referenced the song, stating, "It has this intense melody on it. I was afraid to do it for so long because I had abandoned heavy drone for a few years. But it was just there, always in the background and I was just craving it."

The Beast in the Heart (La bestia nel cuore / a.k.a. Don't Tell) is a 2005 film directed by Cristina Comencini, based on the novel written by herself.

It was nominated for Golden Lion prize at the Venice International Film Festival. It was nominated for the Best Foreign Language Film category in the 78th Academy Awards.

Synopsis

Sabina has a regular life. She is satisfied with her job and her love for Franco. But lately nightmares start disturbing her, just as she discovers she is pregnant. "Don't Tell 'Em" is a song by American singer Jeremih from his third studio album, Late Nights. It features American rapper YG, and was released as the first single from the album. The song peaked at number six on the Billboard Hot 100. Internationally, "Don't Tell 'Em" also peaked within the top ten of the charts in the United Kingdom, as well as the top twenty of the charts in Australia and Belgium.

Background and composition

Teris Vinson of EMI Music Publishing wrote the original version in 2013 before it was handed to Jeremih, who released the recording "Don't Tell Em" in April 2014, right after he learned that Kid Ink's "Show Me" (a song Jeremih helped write) went number 1 on the Billboard rap airplay chart.

The artists co-wrote the song with its producers, Mick Schultz and DJ Mustard. "Don't Tell 'Em" is an R&B song that contains an interpolation of Snap!'s 1992 single "Rhythm Is a Dancer".

Remix

The official remix features Ty Dolla Sign and French Montana. A music video for the official remix directed by Eif Rivera was released on January 13, 2015. Another remix was released featuring Pitbull. Other remixes includes Rick Ross, Migos and G-Unit. An additional version featuring Wizkid, Ice Prince and AKA was released as a free download. Ace Hood released a remix on his Body Bag 3 mixtape. Another remix was released by T.I. as well.
