Kreesha Turner (born June 10, 1985) is a Canadian/Jamaican recording artist and songwriter. Born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Raised in both Canada and Jamaica, she began her musical career after a successful audition with Virgin Records. She signed a record deal with the Capitol Music Group, under which the Virgin imprint operates. Concurrently, EMI Music Canada signed her in order to more effectively tap into the Canadian market.
She has released two albums in Canada. Her first album Passion (2008) spawned singles "Bounce With Me," "Lady Killer" and "Don't Call Me Baby". The latter became the #1 most played song (by a Canadian) on Canadian radio in 2008 and became her very first number one single on Billboard's U.S. Hot Dance Club Play. During this year, she was nominated for two Juno Awards for "Best New Artist" and "Best Pop Album of The Year." Her second double disc studio album, Tropic Electric (2011) saw Turner alter her public image and return to her original sound. She released three moderately successful singles "Rock Paper Scissors," "I Could Stay," and "Love Again." which gained her another Juno Award Nomination for "Best R&B Album."

"Don't Call Me Baby" is a song by Australian house duo Madison Avenue. The song is the band's biggest hit, reaching number one in New Zealand and the United Kingdom. In the latter country, the song was the 31st best selling of 2000. The song features a bassline sample from Ma Quale Idea by Italo disco artist Pino D'Angiò, which in turn is based on "Ain't No Stoppin' Us Now" by McFadden & Whitehead.

Three weeks later, the track reached its peak at number two, where it stayed for six non-consecutive weeks. The recording was certified triple platinum by the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA), denoting 210000 shipments of the single. In New Zealand, the song entered the RIANZ Singles Chart at number thirty-nine. Two weeks later, the single achieved a big gain when it jumped from number thirty-four in the previous week, to number two. By its seventh week in the top forty, "Don't Call Me Baby" peaked at number-one where it stayed for one week. The song was given a gold certification by Recording Industry Association of New Zealand (RIANZ) for shipments of 7500 copies of the single.

The song was composed by lead singer Tracey Bryn with guitarist and keyboardist Mike Jones, and was released as the fourth single from the band's debut album, Let It Bee. Backed with "Jump This Way", it became a hit, peaking at No. 15 in the UK, No. 48 in Australia, and No. 25 in New Zealand. It has remained one of the band's most enduring hits.
