In digital logic, a don't-care term for a function is an input-sequence (a series of bits) for which the function output does not matter. An input that is known never to occur is a can't-happen term. Both these types of conditions are treated the same way in logic design and may be referred to collectively as don't-care conditions for brevity. The designer of a logic circuit to implement the function need not care about such inputs, but can choose the circuit's output arbitrarily, usually such that the simplest circuit results (minimization). Examples of don't-care terms are the binary values 1010 through 1111 (10 through 15 in decimal) for a function that takes a binary-coded decimal (BCD) value, because a BCD value never takes on such values (so called pseudo-tetrades); in the pictures, the circuit computing the lower left bar of a 7-segment display can be minimized to a b + a c by an appropriate choice of circuit outputs for dcba=1010...1111.
Don't-care terms are important to consider in minimizing logic circuit design, using Karnaugh maps and the Quine–McCluskey algorithm. Don't care optimization can also be used in the development of highly size-optimized assembly or machine code taking advantage of side effects.

"Don't Care" is a 1994 single by American death metal band Obituary. It was released only in the U.S., like a previous release of the album World Demise (1994). A music video of the same name was made for this song.
The song appears in the video to be a protest to man-made pollution.
Sandra Lyng Haugen (born 18 April 1987) is a Norwegian singer.
Sandra Lyng Haugen is from the town of Mosjøen in the municipality of Vefsn. She rose to popularity after her participation in the TV 2 (Norway) program in which she placed fourth in Idol: Jakten på en superstjerne 2004, the Norwegian version of Pop Idol.
She released the single I morgen which stayed on the Norwegian charts for 16 weeks, peaking at number 2. She also released the summerhit Sommerflørt singing with Equicez-member Phillip. Sandra also released the album Døgnvill under the Universal Norway label. Døgnvill stayed on the charts for 9 weeks, peaking at #10, which is a longer period of time than Kjartan Salvesen who won Sandra's season charted. Sandra is today fairly popular in Norway and is known for her easygoing pop music. She just released her brand new single 'PRTeY' featuring rapper 'Lazee' in September 2013.
