Fanny was an armed merchantman that sailed between Liverpool and South America. Her master was James Laughton, the father of Sir John Knox Laughton. On 5 December 1812, Laughton was granted a Letter of Marque for the ship. On 19 April 1814, the American privateer schooner General Armstrong captured her, though shortly thereafter Sceptre recaptured her. The insurance and marine salvage issues involved gave rise to three notable court cases.
Fanny sailed from Falmouth 26 August 1813 to Rio de Janeiro in convoy with about 30 others and a Royal Navy escort. For the return voyage, Laughton sought permission from the station admiral to return home without convoy. Laughton hired thirty additional men and took on board some additional arms. The station admiral thought Fanny was competent to defend herself and permitted the solo voyage. On 8 March 1814 Fanny left Maranham for Liverpool.
At about midday on 18 April 1814, Fanny was near the Irish coast when the American privateer schooner General Armstrong, captain Guy R. Champlin, from New York sighted her. Due to squally weather, General Armstrong did not immediately engage, but shadowed Fanny until early the following day, when General Armstrong closed to pistol shot range and opened fire. The faster and better armed American schooner inflicted significant damage on Fanny, her French long 42-pounder guns being the most devastating.
The Fanny was a 432-ton merchant ship built on the River Thames, England in 1810. She made one voyage transporting convicts from England to Australia.
Under the command of John Wallis and surgeon William McDonald, she departed The Downs on the 25 August 1815, with 174 male convicts. She arrived in Sydney on the 18 January 1816. There were three convict deaths en route.
This is an index of characters from the Guilty Gear fighting game series.
Daisuke Ishiwatari has cited Kazushi Hagiwara's manga Bastard‼, and the fighting game Street Fighter II as influence to the Guilty Gear series. However, he noted that the majority of other fighting games were just recycling the character's same skins or style, and so he wanted every character "to be unique in their own way."Kazuhiko Shimamoto's characters was also noted as an inspiration for the men characters, with Ishiwatari saying they needed to be "chivalrous person-like characters", and citing Anji Mito "the most closest to this type". The female ones, on the other hand, have not followed a standard, with he only saying that they needed look like real women.
There are many musical references in the Guilty Gear series, including various characters' names and moves, which were inspired by rock and heavy metal bands like Queen, Guns N' Roses, and Metallica. For instance, the main character, Sol Badguy, was named after Queen's lead vocalist, Freddie Mercury. Both his real name, Frederick, and his last name were influenced by the singer, whose nickname was "Mr. Badguy".

In 1983, the Fabulous Moolah, who was the NWA World Women's Champion and legal owner of the title, joined the WWF and sold them the rights to the title after they disaffiliated from the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) and recognized her as the first WWF Women's Champion. Additionally, the WWF also recognized Moolah as having been champion ever since first winning the title from Judy Grable in 1956 and disregarded other reigns or title losses that occurred during the title's existence in the NWA. Thus, The Fabulous Moolah's reign was considered to have lasted 27 years by the promotion. WWF also introduced the WWF Women's Tag Team Championship with Velvet McIntyre and Princess Victoria recognized as the first champions after also defecting from the NWA.

Young Parisian postman Jules is obsessed with classical music; he is particularly obsessed with Cynthia Hawkins, a beautiful and celebrated American opera singer who has never allowed any of her performances to be recorded.
Jules attends a recital at the Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord in Paris, where Hawkins sings the aria Ebben? Ne andrò lontana from the opera La Wally. He illicitly makes a high-quality bootleg recording of her performance using a Nagra professional tape-recorder. Afterwards, he steals the gown she was wearing from her dressing room.
