Disaster Report

Disaster Report, originally known in Japan as Zettai Zetsumei Toshi (絶体絶命都市 lit. The Desperated City) and known in Europe as SOS: The Final Escape is a 2002 survival action-adventure video game created by Irem. It was first released in Japan for the PlayStation 2 in 2002 by Irem, and later released in North America and Europe in 2003 localized by Agetec. It is the first game in the Zettai Zetsumei Toshi series.

The game deals with the characters' survival and escape from the slow collapse of an artificial island. While dodging falling buildings and debris from periodic earthquakes, the player must find a way off the island. In addition, the main character, a reporter, must investigate the reasons for the disaster.

Gameplay

HP is the character's health and QP is the amount of energy the character has left. QP can be restored by drinking water. If the character becomes thirsty from running or other strenuous tasks, the player must provide the character with drinking water. If the player does not do this, the character begins to slowly lose health. Water can be drunk from clean taps or from bottled water filled up along the way. It is possible to give the character's companion water.

Zettai Zetsumei Toshi 4: Summer Memories

Zettai Zetsumei Toshi 4: Summer Memories (絶体絶命都市4 -Summer Memories- lit. The Desperated City 4: Summer Memories) is an upcoming action-adventure game currently developed and published by Granzella Inc. It is the fourth entry in Zettai Zetsumei Toshi series.

Development

The game was originally being developed and published by Irem exclusively for the PlayStation 3, it would have supported 3D output and PlayStation Move. Initially, the game was planned for release on March 10, 2011, a day before the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami, but was pushed back to a Spring time frame. Chief producer, Kazuma Kujo said the reason for the delay was because the game could not be completed in time. The game was officially cancelled on March 14, 2011.

In December 2014, Kujo revealed that his new company, Granzella, had acquired the intellectual property of the Zettai Zetsumei Toshi series; they plan to formally announce the game in Q3/Q4 2015. The new game was eventually announced in November, 2015 with the title Zettai Zetsumei Toshi 4 Plus: Summer Memories. It is being developed exclusively for PlayStation 4. Kujo has also stated the re-branded title started development from scratch.

Raw Danger!

Raw Danger!, known in Japan as Zettai Zetsumei Toshi 2: Itetsuita Kiokutachi (絶体絶命都市2 -凍てついた記憶たち- lit. The Desperate City 2: Frozen Memories) is an action adventure survival game for the PlayStation 2 that was first released on March 30, 2006 in Japan by Irem, and was later released on June 8, 2007 in Europe by 505 Games and on June 19, 2007 in North America by Agetec. The game follows six characters as they try to escape a city that is being flooded by torrential rains.

The game is a sequel to Disaster Report. A further sequel, Zettai Zetsumei Toshi 3: Kowareyuku Machi to Kanojo no Uta, was released exclusively in Japan and South Korea for the PSP on April 23, 2009. Like a previous series, the game was slightly modified for the Western release and make it more suitable for the US release.

Gameplay

Players must think on their feet and utilize creative survival skills to have any hope of seeing their family again. Body temperature and health decrease when players are wet or in cold weather too long. They must find places to warm themselves and gather food, and find dry clothes or make them. In the end, players must run, climb, jump, and crawl their way out of this devastated city, while constantly trying to piece together information from emergency broadcasts and other victims of the disaster.
