Roman Catholic Diocese of Teano-Calvi
The Diocese of Teano-Calvi (Latin: Dioecesis Theanensis-Calvensis) is a Roman Catholic ecclesiastical territory in Campania, southern Italy, created in 1986. It is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Naples. The historic Diocese of Teano and Diocese of Calvi were united in 1818, forming the diocese of Calvi e Teano.
History
Calvi
Calvi is the ancient Cales or Calenum, not far from Capua. Towards the end of the fifth century it was certainly a bishopric, since Valerius, Bishop of Calenum, was present at the Roman Council held by Pope Symmachus in 499. Destroyed in the 9th century by the Saracens, it was rebuilt by Atenulf I of Capua, at which time, probably, the see was re-established. It certainly had a bishop at the end of the eleventh century.

Teano
Teano is a town and comune of Campania, Italy, in the province of Caserta, 30 kilometres (19 mi) northwest of that town on the main line to Rome from Naples. It stands at the southeast foot of an extinct volcano, Rocca Monfina.
History
Ancient times and Middle Ages
The ancient Teanum Sidicinum was the capital of the Oscan tribe of the Sidicini, which drove the Aurunci from Roccamonfina. They probably submitted to Rome in 334 BC and their troops were grouped with those of Campania in the Roman army. Thus the garrison of Regium, which in 280 attacked the citizens, consisted of one cohort of Sidicini and two of Campanians. Like Cales, Teanum continued to have the right of coinage, and, like Suessa and Cales, remained faithful to Rome in both the Hannibalic and the Social wars. Its position gave it some military importance, and it was apparently made a colony by Claudius, not by Augustus. Strabo speaks of it as the most important town on the Via Latina, joined by a branch road from Suessa, of which remains still exist, and which continued east to Alife.
Teano (Rome Metro)
Teano is an underground station of Line C of the Rome Metro. The station is located at the intersection of Via Teano and Viale Partenope, also being near several schools and sport centers. Construction works started in 2007 and were finished in January 2015. The station opened in June 2015.
