Dizmas

Dizmas is a Christian rock band from Lancaster, California.

Band history

Nick Aranda, Clayton Hunt, and brothers Zach and Josh Zegan began playing together as teenagers in 1998 while attending Desert Christian High School in Lancaster, California. They were later joined by Jon Howard, who is from Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.

Their debut album "On a Search in America" was released on June 21, 2005. Jon Howard's younger brother, Joey, joined Dizmas as a roadie/merch guy/techie in 2006, now serving as tour manager. On May 3, 2006 their song "Revolution" aired on "CSI: NY – Season 2: Stealing Home". Their second album "Tension" was produced by Steve Wilson and released on May 5, 2007. On July 10, 2007 their song "Shake It Off" aired on ESPN. Soon after their hit single "Play It Safe" reached No. 1 on Radio & Records Christian Rock National Airplay chart of national broadcasters in the United States for the week ending Aug 03, 2007. In fall 2008, the band had their last tour in Czech Republic, which led to a break after.

Dizmas (album)

Dizmas is the third full-length album released by Christian rock band Dizmas. The self-titled album is a collection of some of the band's most popular songs, plus four new songs titled "Yours," "Save the Day," "Different," and "Worth Fighting For". The album was released on April 29, 2008 under Forefront Records.

Different is debut solo-album released in 1989 by Thomas Anders, who first attained success as the lead vocalist for Modern Talking in the mid-'80s. The album was recorded in London at Alan Parsons' studio and was produced by Gus Dudgeon (Elton John) & Alan Tarney (a-ha). It features a cover of Chris Rea's Fool (If You Think It's Over).

It's an extravagant album, featuring a legion of songwriters and session musicians. The album boasted the hit Love Of My Own and became a big success for Anders. Other singles were Soldier and One Thing.

The album was re-released twice by EastWest Records in 1991 and 1998.

Different is the debut studio album by Belgian singer Kate Ryan. It was released in 2002 by EMI Records. The album was produced by AJ Duncan and Phil Wilde. It peaked at number eight in Belgium and was certified Gold. It also had moderate success across Europe selling 250,000 copies.
