Chris Hill (rugby league)

Christopher "Chris" Hill is a professional rugby league footballer who currently plays for Warrington Wolves in the Super League. He previously played for Leigh in the Championship. He is by preference a prop.

Early career

Hill signed for Leigh from local Wigan amateur club New Springs Lions in 2004, and started his career as a stand-off or loose forward before moving to prop, progressing through Leigh's service area, scholarship and youth ranks before making his first senior appearance for Leigh in the 2005 Super League X season, during a 74-8 loss to St. Helens.

In 2006, Hill won the Northern Rail Cup with Leigh after consolidating his place in the side. He toured Australia with Great Britain Under-18s in this same year.

2011 saw Hill win his second Northern Rail Cup trophy with Leigh, featuring as Halifax were defeated 16-20 at Blackpool's Bloomfield Road Stadium.

Hill accumulated a couple of accolades with Leigh; firstly in reaching 100 appearances for the club, and also being the most recent prop-forward for Leigh to score a hat-trick of tries. After missing only one game in two years, he was made captain of Leigh in 2010.

Chris Hill (athletic director)

Chris Hill (born c. 1950) is an American college athletics administrator and former basketball player and coach. He has been the athletic director at the University of Utah since 1987. His responsibilities include overseeing the athletic department and supervising all the coaches. During his twenty-plus years in his position, he has hired several coaches, secured funding for facilities upgrades, and negotiated the University of Utah's entrance into the Pac-12 Conference.

Coaches hired

During Hill's tenure, the Utah Utes have shown success in several different sports. He has been responsible for hiring Rick Majerus in college basketball and Ron McBride, Urban Meyer, and Kyle Whittingham in college football. From 2004–2009, he served on the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Committee, which decides which teams are accepted into the NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Championship tournament held each March.

A March 2013 story appearing Yahoo! Sports suggested that Hill ignored complaints from students and parents about abusive behavior from Greg Winslow, a swimming coach at Utah from 2007 to 2013.
