Devi (1999 film)

Devi is a 1999 Telugu devotional film directed by Kodi Ramakrishna and produced by M. S. Raju. The film stars Shiju and Prema in the lead roles. It was the first Telugu film of Shiju. The music was composed by Devi Sri Prasad making his debut. The film was released in 1999 and became successful at box office.

    M.S. Raju who was reeling under the failure of Street Fighter decided to make a devotional film with new star cast. He casted Malayalam actor Shiju and Kannada actress Prema in the lead roles. Abu Salim, a police officer from Mangalore was selected for the negative role while Vanitha, daughter of actor Vijayakumar was selected to play an important character.

    Devi is an Indian film actress and dubbing artist in Malayalam movies. She became popular through the main character Kunjipengal she played in Oru Kudayum Kunju Pengalum, a serial in Doordarshan. She has dubbed for around 500 movies and acted in more than 25 movies. She received National Film Award for Best Non-Feature Film Narration / Voice Over in Non Feature Film Category in 2014 for Nithya Kalyani – Oru Mohiniyattam Patham.

    She is born at Cherukodu Peyad, Thiruvananthapuram. She has a brother. She is married to Alwin, an engineer who is doing business now. The couple has a daughter, Athmaja.

  • Mina (1964 album)

    Mina is an album by Italian singer Mina, issued in 1964. It was her first album to reach Italian Top. It was also the first album that Mina recorded for the label Ri-Fi and the first album composed of tracks expressly sung for. In 1967, the label Philips pusblished a cassette tape of the album all over Europe under the title of Many Faces of Mina.

    Over the years, Mina re-recorded some of the songs of this album. In 1988, she sang again "E se domani" for her compilation album Oggi ti amo di più. In 1993 and in 2012, she made a new cover of "Everything Happens to Me" (respectively in Lochness and in 12 (american song book)). In 2005, in her tribute album to Frank Sinatra, L'allieva, she sang again the standards "The Nearness of You" and "Angel Eyes", while - in 1964 - she made a Spanish version of "E se domani" under the title of "Y si mañana".

    Mina (born 4 October 1993) is a German pop musician who became famous because of a video at the online portal Myvideo which was watched by four million viewers.

    Biography

    Mina was born in Munich, where she attended a private school. When she was 13 years old she went to a music studio in Augsburg where she was allowed to record the song How The Angels Fly. This song peaked at #24 of the German music charts. After that, she produced a music video for the song which reached high popularity at the video portals of Myvideo and YouTube, resulting in a recording contract with Warner Music.

    Her first album was released on 14 December 2007 and was called Learn To Fly. It peaked at #77 in the German album charts.

    Her single, I will Not Let You Down, appeared on the German soundtrack release of the movie Juno.

    Since May 2008 Mina hosts the show mädchen.tv, the TV format of the youth magazine of the same name.
