Derek Bryant

Derek " The One Man Riot" Bryant (born April 19, 1971) is an American heavyweight boxer from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Biography

Bryant was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and has the boxing ID number US-PA-017121. He is a journeyman fighter who has appeared on the TV program Friday Night Fights. He holds wins against Jorge Luis Gonzalez, Taurus Sykes, Robert Wiggins and had a draw with Lawrence Clay Bey. He has lost fights to Eric Kirkland, Malcolm Tann, Jovo Pudar and Ran Nakash.

    Derek Roszell Bryant is a former professional baseball player. He played in 39 games in Major League Baseball for the Oakland Athletics in 1979, primarily as an outfielder. He currently serves as manager of the Sultanes de Monterrey in the Mexican League.

    Bryant spent his entire career, from 1973 until 1981, in the Athletics organization. During his lone big league season, he batted .179 with three extra base hits in 108 at bats.

    Bryant has managed in the Mexican League on and off since 1988, mostly with the Sultanes de Monterrey (1988, 1995–98, 2001–02). In 1999, he managed the High Desert Mavericks in the Arizona Diamondbacks farm system. After his last stint with Monterrey, Bryant has managed the Acereros de Monclova (2003), the Saraperos de Saltillo (2004–07, 2012), the Vaqueros Laguna (2009–10) and the Olmecas de Tabasco (2012).

    Air Vice Marshal Derek Thomas Bryant CB, OBE (born 1 November 1933) is a former Royal Air Force officer who became Commandant of the RAF Staff College, Bracknell.

    RAF career

    Educated at Latymer Upper School in Hammersmith, Bryant joined the Royal Air Force in 1953. He became Station Commander at RAF Coningsby in 1976, Senior Air Staff Officer No. 38 Group RAF in 1982 and Deputy Commander Royal Air Force Germany in 1986. He went on to be Commandant of the RAF Staff College, Bracknell in 1987 before retiring in 1989.
