Adérito Waldemar Alves de Carvalho (born 4 July 1981 in Lobito), commonly known as Dédé, is an Angolan professional footballer who plays for S.L. Benfica (Luanda) as a midfielder.

    Club career

After starting in his native country with Académica Petróleos do Lobito, Dédé moved to Portugal, first appearing with lowly O Elvas C.A.D. and C.D. Portosantense. In the 2006–07 season he joined C.D. Trofense in the second division, being an important first-team member.

Dédé signed with F.C. Paços de Ferreira for 2007–08, scoring in his debut in the Primeira Liga on 18 August 2007 after heading home in a 1–3 away loss against C.S. Marítimo. It was his only goal during the campaign.

In the 2009 summer Dédé signed for AC Arles-Avignon in Ligue 2, but left the club only a few months later, moving to Romania with FC Timişoara. He make his official debut for the latter on 25 April 2010, at FC Steaua Bucureşti.

Dédé signed with his third team in less than one year in the 2010 summer, after joining Cyprus' Olympiakos Nicosia. He continued competing in the country in the following seasons, with AEL Limassol.

    Epidermodysplasia verruciformis

Epidermodysplasia verruciformis (also called Lewandowsky-Lutz dysplasia), colloquially known as tree man illness is an extremely rare autosomal recessive genetichereditary skin disorder associated with a high risk of carcinoma of the skin. It is characterized by abnormal susceptibility to human papillomaviruses (HPVs) of the skin. The resulting uncontrolled HPV infections result in the growth of scaly macules and papules, particularly on the hands and feet. It is typically associated with HPV types 5 and 8, which are found in about 80 percent of the normal population as asymptomatic infections, although other types may also contribute.

The condition usually has an onset of between the ages of 1–20, but can occasionally present in middle-age. It is named after the physicians who first documented it, Felix Lewandowsky and Wilhelm Lutz.

    Genetics

The cause of the condition is an inactivating PH mutation in either the EVER1 or EVER2 genes, which are located adjacent to one another on chromosome 17. The precise function of these genes is not yet fully understood, but they play a role in regulating the distribution of zinc in the cell nuclei. Zinc is a necessary cofactor for many viral proteins, and the activity of EVER1/EVER2 complex appears to restrict the access of viral proteins to cellular zinc stores, limiting their growth.
