Dubá (German: Dauba) is a town in the Czech Republic. It has a population of around 1,800. The nearby lake of Nedamov acts as an attractive destination for tourists (mostly German and Czech).
Until 1918, the town was part of the Austrian monarchy (Austria side after the compromise of 1867), head of the DAUBA district, one of the 94 Bezirkshauptmannschaften in Bohemia. From 1938 to 1945 it was one of the municipalities in Sudetenland.
Dubé and Dube are common surnames, mostly French-based.
Dube, Dubey and Dobé are surnames frequently used in India (mostly central part of India, Madhya Pradesh). For Indian variant also see Dwivedi.
Dube / Dubé may refer to:
The word decadence, which at first meant simply "decline" in an abstract sense, is now most often used to refer to a perceived decay in standards, morals, dignity, religious faith, or skill at governing among the members of the elite of a very large social structure, such as an empire or nation state. By extension, it may refer to a decline in art, literature, science, technology, and work ethics, or (very loosely) to self-indulgent behaviour.
Usage of the term frequently implies moral censure, or an acceptance of the idea, met with throughout the world since ancient times, that such declines are objectively observable and that they inevitably precede the destruction of the society in question; for this reason, modern historians use it with caution. The word originated in Medieval Latin (dēcadentia), appeared in 16th-century French, and entered English soon afterwards. It bore the neutral meaning of decay, decrease, or decline until the late 19th century, when the influence of new theories of social degeneration contributed to its modern meaning.
Decadent is British progressive metal band Threshold's first fan club album, released in 1999. The album features remixes and radio edits of songs from their previous albums, as well as one acoustic remake and one song that was hitherto only available on the Japanese release of Psychedelicatessen. The album was reissued in 2003 with modified CD artwork; it is now out of print but available for download on iTunes.
Three of the remixes on the album (Intervention 1999 remix, Devoted fan club remix and Into the Light 1999 remix) bear strong similarity to the versions of the songs produced for the 2001 reissue of Psychedelicatessen.
Several of the tracks on this album appear as easter eggs in the multimedia portions of the special edition reissues of Wounded Land and Psychedelicatessen.
Decadent is U.D.O.'s 15th studio album. It was released on January 23, 2015, in Europe and February 3, 2015, in the United States through AFM Records. On December 12, 2014, "Decadent" was released as its first single. Three weeks later, "Pain" was the second full length song to be released through YouTube.
