The First Mini Album - Gee is the first mini-album by South Korean girl group Girls' Generation.

Commercial performance

SM Entertainment stated that over 100,000 copies of the mini-album were shipped to stores while sales analyst company Hanteo reported sales in excess of 30,000 copies within the first 10 days of its release. According to their agency SM Entertainment, the album sold nearly 65,000 copies. Gee was able to sold more than 100,000 copies.

Single

A week after its release, "Gee" went #1 on Music Bank; however, questions were raised when the group did not appear on the program for unknown reasons, with rumors spreading regarding a possible rift between SM Entertainment and KBS. "Gee" also went to #1 on SBS's 인기가요 (Inkigayo) a week after their return.

"Gee" first tied with "Nobody" by the Wonder Girls for the longest-running #1 on music portal M.Net (6 weeks). The song then broke the record by staying on top a seventh week, and remained in the position for an eighth week. It also tied then broke the record for longest-running #1 on KBS's Music Bank, beating the 7-week record previously set by Jewelry in 2008 with "One More Time". "Gee" achieved its ninth #1 on the show on March 13, 2009 and received its 10th #1 win on June 26, 2009.

Dear Mom (Glenn Miller song)

Dear Mom was a 1941 World War II song with words and music by Maury Coleman Harris released by Republic Music Corp. The song was inspired by the 1940 Selective Service Act. The original recording was by Sammy Kaye and his Orchestra, with vocals by Allan Foster from the Victor Records stable. This was overshadowed by a recording in 1942 by Glenn Miller.

The lyrics take the form of a "Dear Mom.." letter from a serviceman:

Bronco song

A version of the song with changed lyrics later became current as the "Dear Mom" Bronco song, after the OV-10 Bronco, among US pilots in the Vietnam War. Retaining the "Dear Mom" letter beginning the author changes from the son, to "Dear Ma'am," from a fellow pilot informing her of the death of her son in action:

Dear Mom (Chinese: 我的寶貝四千金; pinyin: Wǒ de bǎo bèi sì qiān jīn) is a 2014 till 2015 Taiwanese romance, family, comedy television series produced by Sanlih E-Television. Starring Ling Hung, Joanne Tseng, Albee Huang, Beatrice Fang, Shiou Chieh Kai, Melvin Sia, Duncan Lai and Jack Lee as the main cast. The Chinese title literally translates to "My Four Precious Daughters", which is in reference to the four main female characters of the drama. Filming began on December 1, 2014 and will be filmed as the drama aired. First original broadcast began December 16, 2014 on SETTV channel airing weekly from Monday till Friday at 8:00-9:00 pm.

Synopsis

The Li family have four precious daughters. Each is different in their own way. Eldest An Qing is the perfect daughter to everyone, excelling academically and successful. She lives in the US with her young son and husband, but when she returns to Taiwan she hides from her family that she has been recently divorced. Second daughter Yi Wan, is obedient to her parents and kind to others. Simpleminded and a bit of a klutz, but she never worries her parents. She works as a kindergarten teacher. Third daughter Qing Qing is a workaholic, who at times is over confident of herself. She is the personal secretary to the CEO of a trading company. Her unbalance work/personal life makes her mother worry that she will never have time to date or find a steady boyfriend. Then there is fourth and youngest daughter Xiao Xi. She is a University student who is spoiled by dad and lives a carefree life. The four Li sisters pursue life and love differently from each other.

Dear... is The Grace's second Japanese album released on January 9, 2009. The title track "Sukoshi de Ikara" (少しでいいから) (A Little Bit of Good) was used as the movie "Subaru" soundtrack song. Tenjochiki's second studio album includes 2 singles released from July 2008 in Japan including the B-side of their 7th single "Here": "Near: Thoughtful 1220" and the album consists of a total of 9 tracks. The album peaked #14 on Oricon daily album charts and #37 on the Oricon weekly album charts, charted for 3 weeks and sold 4,734 copies, making their most successful Japanese album so far.

Dear (Mika Nakashima song)

"Dear" is the thirty-third single by Japanese singer Mika Nakashima, released on April 27, 2011. It peaked at number 8 in the Oricon Weekly Singles Chart, and sold over 25,000 copies. In May 2011, the song was certified Gold by the RIAJ for digital downloads of over 100,000.

Background

This single marked a comeback for Nakashima, who took a break from performing in October 2010 to seek treatment for her chronic Eustachian tube dysfunction. The title track was the theme song for the Japanese film Yōkame no Semi, in which Mao Inoue played the lead role.

For "Dear", Nakashima again collaborated with Katsuhiko Sugiyama, who wrote and composed her previous single, "Ichiban Kirei na Watashi o".

The coupling tune is a rearranged version of "A Miracle For You", a song from Nakashima's first album, True.

History

Uniregistry Corporation was officially founded in 2012 by Frank Schilling, one of the largest private domain name portfolio owners in the world, and registered in the Cayman Islands. However, the domain Uniregistry.com was registered six years earlier and the company filed an intent to use the name in the Cayman Islands in 2010. Trademark applications for the "Uniregistry" mark and its stylized "U" logo were filed in 2012. That year, Schilling invested $60 million and applied for 54 new top-level domains. Uniregistrar Corporation became an ICANN-accredited registrar in February 2013. In January 2014, Uniregistry Inc. became a subsidiary in Newport Beach, California to house a West Coast service and support team. The registrar began operating under the licensed Uniregistry brand name in 2014. Uniregistry's registry infrastructure was designed by Internet Systems Consortium (ISC) and Uniregistry subsequently purchased its infrastructure in 2013.
