Day One (app)

Day One is a personal journaling app available for OS X and iOS devices. Some features include: data syncing with multiple devices via Dropbox or iCloud; Markdown authoring of entries; location, weather, date, time, and other automatic metadata; quick entry menu bar (Mac only); and reminders. In 2014, Day One added Publish, a service for publishing selected entries to a Day One-hosted webpage and sharing via Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and other social services. The application has been reviewed by Macworld,The Verge,Lifehacker and other tech websites. The OS X version of Day One was chosen as "Mac App of the Year" in 2012 by the Mac App Store and won an Apple Design Award in 2014 for being "super well-designed on OS X and being exactly what it needs to be and nothing more."

Day One 2

On February 4, 2016, the developers, Bloom Built, introduced Day One 2 for Mac and iOS, citing the release as a full app rebuild. The update introduced a visual overhaul and new features such as multiple journals and photos.

The first season of the American drama television series 24, also known as Day 1, was first broadcast from November 6, 2001, to May 21, 2002 on Fox. The season's storyline starts and ends at 12:00 a.m. on the day of the California presidential primary.

Season overview

The first season takes place on the day of a fictional U.S. presidential primary.

The season's main plot revolves around an assassination attempt on U.S. Senator from Maryland, David Palmer, a candidate for the Democratic Party presidential nomination, on the day of the primary in California. The central character is Jack Bauer, a former Delta Force operator who is the Director of the fictional Counter Terrorist Unit (CTU) in Los Angeles. Bauer becomes professionally as well as personally involved when his wife Teri and daughter Kim are kidnapped by the people behind the assassination plot.

The season is essentially divided into two halves:

The first half revolves around a mercenary group's efforts to control Jack Bauer by kidnapping his wife and daughter and forcing him to kill Senator Palmer. This culminates in Jack's successful rescue of his family.

Day One (2015 film)

Day One is a short film directed and co-written by Henry Hughes with Dawn DeVoe. A woman who is on her first day of working as an interpreter for the United States Army is forced to deliver a baby for the wife of an enemy bomb maker.

In 2016, the movie was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film at the 88th Academy Awards.
