David Dunn

David John Ian Dunn (born 27 December 1979) is an English professional footballer who was most recently player-manager for League One club Oldham Athletic, playing as an attacking midfielder.

He has also played for Birmingham City in between his two spells with Blackburn Rovers, and made his only appearance for England in 2002.

Club career

Blackburn Rovers

Dunn joined Blackburn Rovers as a trainee at the beginning of 1997 and made his debut during a goalless draw with Everton on 26 September 1998. Dunn came off the bench after 70 minutes, but was taken off again on 81 minutes, due to the sending off of Martin Dahlin.

In his second appearance Blackburn beat Newcastle United at St James' Park in the League Cup and Dunn scored the winning penalty in the shootout.

His first goal came in a 3–1 victory against Aston Villa on 26 February 1999, but the team was subsequently relegated in this, his first full season. In 2000–01 Blackburn entertained local team Rochdale in the League Cup where Dunn scored a hat-trick from the penalty spot. He reached double figures in terms of goals in 2000, and continued his good form in 2001–02 when the club won the League Cup. Dunn starred in Rovers return to the Premier League, putting in a string of impressive performances, notably in the 7–1 battering of West Ham United and the 3–3 draw at Arsenal, where he managed to score two goals, one a last minute equaliser.

David Dunn (American football)

David Dunn (born June 10, 1972) is a former American football wide receiver and return specialist in the National Football League. He was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the fifth round of the 1995 NFL Draft. He played college football at Fresno State after transferring from Bakersfield Junior College.

Dunn also played for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Cleveland Browns, and Oakland Raiders.

Early years

Dunn attended Samuel F. B. Morse High School in Southeast San Diego for his first three years of high school. However, he moved to Wakita, Oklahoma for his senior year.

David Dunn (January 17, 1811 – February 17, 1894) was an American Democratic politician and lawyer. He served as the 18th Governor of Maine in 1844.

Biography

David Dunn was born in Cornish, Maine on January 17, 1811.

Dunn studied law under then future Governor, "Squire" John Fairfield, of Saco. He was admitted to the bar in 1833 and shortly thereafter opened up a practice at Poland Corner.

He represented the town of Poland in the Maine House of Representatives from 1840 to 1844 and was Speaker in 1843 and 1844. In that capacity Dunn served for three days as acting Governor in 1844 when President of the Senate, Edward Kavanagh, resigned as acting Governor.

The game of political musical chairs continued with Dunn resigning and the new President of the Senate, John W. Dana, acting as Governor until newly elected Hugh J. Anderson was sworn in.

In 1845 Dunn was elected to the Maine Senate and served as its President following the resignation of Stephen Chase of Fryeburg in 1846.

David Dunn (footballer, born 1981)

David Hugh Dunn (born 1 November 1981), is a Scottish football midfielder currently playing for Thorniewood United in the Scottish Junior Football Association, West Region. He has previously played in the Scottish Football League First Division for Clyde and Airdrieonians.

Career

Dunn had a twelve-year career in the Scottish Football League after leaving Motherwell in 1999 without making a first-team appearance.

He moved to Junior football in 2011 with Larkhall Thistle and has since played for Linlithgow Rose, Sauchie Juniors and Thorniewood United whom he joined in the summer of 2014.

Early life

David Timothy Dunn was born on May 25, 1984 in Midland, Texas to father Tim Dunn and mother Terri Lee Dunn (née, Spannaus) where he was raised, and he went on to study engineering at Texas Tech University. He graduated with honors. While in college, he got his start as an acoustic singer-songwriter. He recorded his first album during his senior year before leaving to go to Africa for a year-long humanitarian trip.

Music career

Dunn appeared on the second season of NBC's The Voice. His song "Today is Beautiful" was inspired by a trip to Disney World with his family. He lives in Nashville, Tennessee.

David (Bulgarian: Давид) (died 976) was a Bulgarian noble, brother of Emperor Samuel and eldest son of komes Nicholas. After the disastrous invasion of Rus' armies and the fall of North-eastern Bulgaria under Byzantine occupation in 971, he and his three younger brothers took the lead of the defence of the country. They executed their power together and each of them governed and defended a separate region. He ruled the southern-most parts of the realm from Prespa and Kastoria and was responsible for the defence the dangerous borders with Thessalonica and Thessaly. However, there's also another version about David’s origin. David gains the title "comes" during his service in the Byzantine army which recruited many Armenians from the Eastern region of the empire. The 11th-century historian Stepanos Asoghik wrote that Samuel had one brother, and they were Armenians from the district Derjan. This version is supported by the historians Nicholas Adontz, Jordan Ivanov, and Samuil's Inscription where it’s said that Samuel’s brother is David. Also, the historians Yahya and Al Makin clearly distinguish the race of Samuel and David (the Comitopouli) from the one of Moses and Aaron (the royal race):
