Dave Hill

David John Hill (born 4 April 1946) is an English musician, who is the lead guitarist and backing vocalist in the English glam rock group, Slade. Hill is known for his flamboyant stage clothes and hairstyle. The music journalist, Stuart Maconie, commented "he usually wore a jumpsuit made of the foil that you baste your turkeys in and platforms of oil-rig-derrick height. All of this though paled in comparison with his coiffure, a sort of demented tonsure with a great scooping fringe. He even had one around 1973 outfit famously called his 'Metal Nun' suit but later styles were much toned down."

Early life

Born in Holbeton, Devon, the son of a mechanic, he moved with his parents to Penn, Wolverhampton when he was a year old. There he attended Springdale Junior school and Highfields Secondary school. He bought his first guitar from a mail order catalogue and received some guitar lessons from a science teacher at his school. He then formed a band called The Young Ones with some school friends. He worked in an office for Tarmac Limited for over two years after leaving school.

Dave Hill is an American comedian, writer, musician and actor originally from Cleveland, Ohio. He is the host of The Goddamn Dave Hill Show on WFMU radio in Jersey City, New Jersey. In 2007 Variety Magazine named Hill one of their "10 Comics to Watch".

Comedy

Hill is a frequent panelist on the Comedy Central's @midnight program and has appeared on Inside Amy Schumer among other shows on the network. He moved to New York City in 2003 and began performing live comedy regularly in 2005. His first TV appearances were as a correspondent on Court tv's Smoking Gun TV. In 2007, Hill starred in the television show The King of Miami on the MOJO HD network. The show also aired on Film24 in the UK and is currently available on Hulu. Hill appeared regularly as a correspondent on the Fuse network's Hoppus on Music hosted by Mark Hoppus of Blink-182 from 2010-2012. He also hosts the stage show The Dave Hill Explosion at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in New York and Hollywood and currently appears as on-air talent for HBO and Cinemax. He has also worked extensively for the comedy website Super Deluxe.

David "Dave" Hill (born 16 October 1945) is a British actor. He was born in Skipton, West Riding of Yorkshire. He attended Ermysted's Grammar School for boys in Skipton. He has appeared in The Full Monty as well as many other TV series and films. He is best known for playing Bert Atkinson in EastEnders from 2006 to 2007.

Dave Hill (golfer)

James David Hill (May 20, 1937 – September 27, 2011) was an American professional golfer. He was the brother of Mike Hill who was also a professional golfer.

Hill was born in Jackson, Michigan. He attended the University of Detroit, where he played on the golf team. Hill won 13 times on the PGA Tour, three of which came during his career year of 1969, when he also won the Vardon Trophy for lowest scoring average. He was a member of the United States Ryder Cup team in 1969, 1973, and 1977.

Hill was known for his quick wit and biting sarcasm, and was sometimes referred to as "the Don Rickles of the golf tour". He frequently led the tour in fines and was once suspended for two months after he deliberately broke his putter on national television. At the 1966 PGA Championship, Hill signed his second round scorecard that included a score of 108 on the 18th hole. Hill played in the acrimonious 1969 Ryder Cup that ended in a 16-16 tie when Jack Nicklaus made his famous "concession" of a short but missable putt to Tony Jacklin on the 18th green in the final match.

David "Dave" Hill (born 6 June 1966 in Nottingham) is an English former professional footballer and is the former manager of Cobh Ramblers.

He made 327 league appearances in England with Scunthorpe United, Ipswich Town, Lincoln City and Chesterfield before moving to Ireland in 1995 and joining Cork City. He spent 5 seasons at the club, winning an FAI Cup winners medal and League of Ireland Cup winners medal. He also picked up 2 runners up medals in the League of Ireland Premier Division.

In August 2000, Hill moved to Dublin to Bohemians. In his first season, he finally won a Premier Division winners medal and to top it off, he was part of the team that completed the "Double" a week later when winning the FAI Cup. Hill spent another season at Bohs before taking up the offer of the player/manager job at First Division side Cobh Ramblers. He spent 2 seasons here and reached the play offs but couldn't get the club promoted. He then became assistant manager at Cork City. He left when Damien Richardson was sacked. Hill takes over from newly appointed Waterford United boss Stephen Henderson.

David Burnham Hill (born November 11, 1937 in New Orleans, Louisiana) is an American former professional baseball player, a pitcher who appeared in two games in the Major Leagues for the 1957 Kansas City Athletics. Hill attended Northwestern University; he threw left-handed, batted right-handed, and was listed as 6 feet 2 inches (1.88 m) tall and 170 pounds (77 kg).

Hill signed with the Athletics in 1957 as a Bonus Baby, under the Bonus Rule. He debuted for the A's without playing in the minor leagues on August 22 in relief against the defending world champion New York Yankees and surrendered a two-run home run to eventual Baseball Hall of Famer Yogi Berra during an 11–4 Kansas City loss. Four days later he was treated roughly by the Boston Red Sox, also in relief, surrendering five runs (including homers to Frank Malzone and Jimmy Piersall) in only one-third of an inning. Boston routed the A's, 16–0.

In 2⅓ big-league innings pitched, Hill allowed six hits, three bases on balls, and seven earned runs. He fanned one.
