Darren Mead (born 29 March 1971) is a former Australian rules footballer with the Port Adelaide Football Club in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL) and Australian Football League (AFL).
After being a strong part of the Port Adelaide Football Club in the SANFL, he was retained as part of Port's entry into the Australian Football League competition in 1997. However, he was initially drafted by Essendon during the 1988 VFL draft at selection 107. Mead, to turn 18 soon after for the 1989 season, never took up the offer from Windy Hill.
He won Port Adelaide Power's first ever best and fairest. He was a strong competitor at centre half-back and also occasionally played the ruck. He became the first Port Adelaide Power player to play 100 games in 2001. He was one of the leaders of the club throughout his AFL career, which lasted from 1997 through to 2002.
Anyone, caught in your mystery
Keep it angry, keep it whispy
I've fallen down, drunk on your juices
Turn my head
Turn my head
It's aimed at you
Funky temple, your dress is torn to shreds
Your eyes are crazy, I bowed to save my head and
I can't forget you, but I can't remember
Turn my head
Turn my head
It's aimed at you
Turn my head
Turn my head
It's aimed at you, baby, baby
Oh no, we came to love you all day
These bastards are leavin', somebody's got to stay
Whatever we called you, just a name, just a name
Turn my head
(Turn my head)
Turn my head
It's aimed at you, yeah, now
Turn my head
(Turn my head)
Turn my head
It's aimed at you
It's aimed at you
