Periorbital dark circles

Periorbital dark circles (also known as dark circles) are dark blemishes around the eyes. There are many causes of this symptom, including heredity and bruising.

Causes

Heredity

In most cases, the dark circles under the eyes are blood vessels that can be seen through the skin. The skin around the eyelids (periorbital skin) is the thinnest skin in the body (around 0.5 mm thick compared with 2mm in other areas). Like varicose veins, dark circles under the eyes are usually an inherited trait. When blood passes through the large veins close to the surface of the skin, it can produce a bluish tint. The more transparent the skin—also an inherited trait—the darker the circles appear. In people with a deep-set bone structure, shadowing can also contribute to the dark color under the eyes.

Allergies, asthma, and eczema

Any condition that causes the eyes to itch can contribute to darker circles due to rubbing or scratching the skin around them. Hay fever sufferers in particular will notice under-eye "smudges" during the height of the allergy season. Some food allergies can also cause the area under the eyes to appear darker.

Synopsis

Alex (Johnathon Schaech) and Penny (Pell James) have decided to uproot themselves from their hectic city lives and move out to the country, believing that it will be better for their baby. The move is not without hesitation, as Penny is concerned that she will not be a fit mother for her baby while Alex can't help but wonder if it would have been better to remain in the city with his bandmates. Soon after they move, strange things begin to occur that cause them to wonder if the move was really the best idea. First their baby doesn't sleep at night, Alex and Penny neither. Both start to see a woman and Alex thinks is a Hallucination due to lack of sleeping. While at supermarket Alex asks a clerk to be their babysitter which she agrees. The first night the babysitter see also the woman and misteriously dissapear after been attack. When Alex and Penny wake up they have slept 2 days and Penny began to fight because the babysitter is gone and the baby diaper has not been change since 48 Hrs prior. Since their move to the New house during the day there too much noise due to a construction near by. So they cant also sleep during the day. Alex and Penny relationship continues to deteriorate that both are afraid of each other. At the end Penny found the woman is real and tries to kill her.

Elf Power

Elf Power is an indie rock band that originated in Athens, Georgia. Currently, the line-up consists of guitarist/vocalist Andrew Rieger, keyboardist Laura Carter, guitarist Jimmy Hughes, bassist Derek Almstead, and drummer Eric Harris. They are part of the Elephant Six Collective.

History

The band began as a four-track recording project of Rieger, his then girlfriend Carter, Raleigh Hatfield and Dave Wrathgeber, later of Fablefactory. These recording sessions eventually resulted in the first incarnation of their debut album Vainly Clutching at Phantom Limbs. The band's line-up expanded when Reiger and Carter recruited Elephant Six musician Bryan Poole, also known as The Late B.P. Helium. While the band occasionally played live shows and continued to record, Poole chiefly stayed in Athens to continue work with Of Montreal while Rieger and Carter moved to New York City.

Mid–late 1990s

After residing in New York for some time, the band released The Winter Hawk EP in 1995. Eventually, Rieger and Carter were convinced to move back to Athens, where the band's second album When the Red King Comes was ultimately recorded and released as a joint venture between the Arena Rock Recording Co. and the Elephant Six label. The album featured contributions by members of The Olivia Tremor Control, Kevin Barnes of Of Montreal, and Jeff Mangum of Neutral Milk Hotel.
