Danny Fox

Daniel "Danny" Fox (born 29 May 1986) is a footballer who plays as a left back for Nottingham Forest. He represented England at under-21 international level, has since been selected for Scotland, making his debut in the November 2009 loss against Wales.

Club career

Everton

Fox was born in Winsford, Cheshire and learnt his trade at his boyhood club Everton's youth system but the closest he came to a first team appearance was as an 18-year-old being named on the bench for Everton's home match against Aston Villa in October 2004.

Stranraer

In March 2005, Fox was loaned out by Everton to Stranraer, where he played 11 games (scoring once against Berwick Rangers) and helped them secure promotion to the Scottish First Division before his eventual release from Everton in the summer of 2005. Seven years on, Fox revealed that his time at Stranraer considerably helped with his career development: “It was a great grounding for me and made me realise I had to take every opportunity to make sure I played at the highest level possible."

Dan Fox (American football)

Daniel Patrick Fox (born March 17, 1991) is an American football linebacker who is currently a free agent. He played college football at Notre Dame. He was signed as an undrafted free agent by the New York Giants of the National Football League.

High school career

Fox was rated the 13th-best outside linebacker by Rivals.com and 15th-best overall prospect in Ohio according to their postseason prospect state rankings, he also ranked as fourth-best outside linebacker and best in pass coverage according to OhioVarsity.com. Fox was named to Ohio All-Championship Team by Bill Greene and Dave Berk, who rank the best players in Ohio during championship weekend and was selected to Division I second-team all-state squad by Associated Press. Fox was named third-team Division I-II all state by OhioVarsity.com and ranked 76th-best player in Midwest by SuperPrep. He was a member of the St. Ignatius High School state championship football team in 2008, who finished the season ranked 12th nationally by USA Today. Fox intercepted one pass in 2008 state title game, recorded 76 tackles as junior, including nine tackles for loss and three interceptions.

Daniel (Bat for Lashes song)

"Daniel" is a song by English recording artist Bat for Lashes, from her second studio album, Two Suns. It is her best selling single to date, selling over 46,000 copies worldwide. The song was announced as the lead single from Two Suns in January 2009, then released as a digital download single on 1 March 2009, and as a 7" vinyl single on 6 April 2009. The track was written by Natasha Khan and produced by David Kosten, as with all tracks on the album. Ira Wolf Tuton from Yeasayer provided the bass lines for the song and Khan did the rest of the instrumentation herself. Khan said in an interview with The Sun newspaper that "Daniel" is based on a fictional character that she fell in love with as a teenager. The single's cover features Khan with an image of the character Daniel LaRusso, from the film The Karate Kid, painted on her back. A character much like LaRusso also features at the end of the music video which goes with the song. The B-side of the 7" is a cover version of a 1980 single by The Cure.

Daniel (department store)

Daniel is an English department store chain and Royal Warrant holder, with its flagship store situated in central Windsor. It was established in 1901 by Walter James Daniel, and is privately owned.
