Dallas Friday

Dallas Friday is a female wakeboarder. Friday's wins includes the ESPN ESPY Award for Best Female Action Sports Athlete, 4 X Games gold medals, and numerous World Titles.

Friday began wakeboarding at age thirteen, and began competing at a professional level within a year. In her rookie season she captured the Americas Cup title and a silver at the X Games, where she was the youngest competitor.

At age fourteen, Friday captured the gold medals at the ESPN X-Games and at the NBC Gravity Games. In 2001, she won the World Cup and placed first in the 2001 Malibu Open, the first two Pro tour stops, the Vans Triple Crown Ford Ranger Pro, Cable Wakeboarding Nationals, and the X-cup. In the 2003-2004 season, Friday won every pro event but one, and in 2005 she won her third gold at the X Games. In 2006, Friday won the World, Nationals, Masters and the Pro Tour Championships, and in 2007 she was undefeated in overseas Wakeboarding World Cup events. Friday won the "Queen of Wake" title in 2009, as well as the World Title. In 2010 Friday suffered severe injuries that required 2 years of rehabilitation causing her to miss the 2011 season.

Dallas

Dallas (/ˈdæləs/) is a major city in the state of Texas and is the largest urban center of the fourth most populous metropolitan area in the United States. The city proper ranks ninth in the U.S. and third in Texas after Houston and San Antonio. The city's prominence arose from its historical importance as a center for the oil and cotton industries, and its position along numerous railroad lines. Future series regular Susan Howard returns as Donna Culver for four episodes. The character Jenna Wade, who will be portrayed by series regular Priscilla Presley in later seasons, also returns for two episodes, now played by Francine Tacker. Longrunning supporting actors Jared Martin (Steven "Dusty" Farlow). George O. Petrie (Harv Smithfield), Stephanie Blackmore (Serena Wald), Tom Fuccello (Dave Culver), Jeff Cooper (Dr. Simon Ellby), Dennis Patrick (Vaughn Leland) and Barry Corbin (Sheriff Fenton Washburn) make their debuts. Mel Ferrer (Harrison Page) appears in two episodes as Pam's immediate supervisor at The Store after her promotion to Buyer. Stephen Elliott (Scotty Demarest) and Martha Scott (Patricia Shepard), who appear in one and two episodes, respectively, will return as "special guest stars" for seasons 8 and 10 (Elliot), and 9 (Scott). Dallas (1978 TV series) (season 1)

The television show Dallas originally aired as a five-episode miniseries starting on the first Sunday of April, 1978. Though the show was never intended to continue beyond the initial five episodes, its popularity led to the creation of an additional twelve full seasons, ending after the thirteenth.

Production

The original mini series was shot over six weeks during the winter of 1977, on location in Dallas, Texas. The Cloyce Box Ranch served as the first 'South Fork Ranch' exterior, and a Swiss Avenue building was used for the interior stage sets.
