"Dæmon" is the Latin version of the Greek "δαίμων" ("godlike power, fate, god"). It is a word used to refer to the daemons of ancient Greek religion and mythology, as well as later Hellenistic religion and philosophy.
"Daemon" is the Latin version of the Greek daimōn.
Daemons are benevolent or benign nature spirits, beings of the same nature as both mortals and deities, similar to ghosts, chthonic heroes, spirit guides, forces of nature or the deities themselves (see Plato's Symposium). Walter Burkert suggests that unlike the Christian use of demon in a strictly malignant sense, "[a] general belief in spirits is not expressed by the term daimon until the 5th century when a doctor asserts that neurotic women and girls can be driven to suicide by imaginary apparitions, ‘evil daimones’. How far this is an expression of widespread popular superstition is not easy to judge. On the basis of Hesiod's myth, however, what did gain currency was for great and powerful figures to be honoured after death as a daimon…" Daimon is not so much a type of quasi-divine being, according to Burkert, but rather a non-personified "peculiar mode" of their activity.
The Ferengi /fəˈrɛŋɡi/ are a fictional extraterrestrial race from the Star Trek universe. They first appeared in "The Last Outpost", the fifth episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation in 1987, during which they made first contact with the United Federation of Planets in 2364 on the planet Delphi Ardu, though they had been mentioned in the series' pilot, "Encounter at Farpoint". They and their culture are characterized by a mercantile obsession with profit and trade, and their constant efforts to swindle unwary customers into unfair deals. They are also known for their business acumen and for rampant misogyny. They also sometimes force their women into the sex trade. Notable Ferengi characters include Quark, Rom, Nog, Ishka, Zek, and Brunt, all of whom were featured prominently in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
Their home planet, Ferenginar, is the center of the Ferengi Alliance and is governed by the Grand Nagus and a Commerce Authority made primarily of the Council of Economic Advisors (formerly Board of Liquidators). Like most of their culture, their religion is also based on the principles of capitalism: they offer prayers and monetary offerings to a "Blessed Exchequer" in hopes of entering the "Divine Treasury" upon death, and fear an afterlife spent in the "Vault of Eternal Destitution".
The Death Busters (デスバスターズ, Desu Basutāzu) are a group of fictional characters who serve as antagonists in the Sailor Moon manga series written by Naoko Takeuchi. This group comprises the antagonists of the third major story arc, which is called the "Infinity" arc in the manga and Sailor Moon S in the anime. They are first introduced in chapter #24 "Infinity 1 – Premonition", originally published in Japan on July 7, 1994. In the Cloverway English adaptation, they are called the "Heart Snatchers".
The goal of the Death Busters is the resurrection of Mistress 9 in order to bring the alien creature Pharaoh 90 to Earth, which would wipe out all life in an event known as the Silence. The group is led by Professor Tomoe, a mad scientist, assisted by a woman named Kaolinite. They employ the Witches 5 to help carry out their schemes. Their base of operations is Infinity Academy (無限学園, Mugen Gakuen), founded by Tomoe with Kaolinite being the principal.
Professor Souichi Tomoe (土萠 創一, Tomoe Sōichi) is the leader of the Death Busters and Hotaru Tomoe's father.
A thousand years shall come to pass,
Yet this daemon I`ll never forget
Through riddles, burning embers and whispering leaves,
He made his shadowed presence known to me
Why? I questioned him knowing well,
Has Hypnos sent you to me?
For I awoke and broke the spell that binds mortality to
Vanish now! Vanish now! Vanish now!
DAIMON!
How long must I endure?
I seek for answers yet none do I get.
I seek through riddles, burning embers and whispering
leaves
This time a shadow in the mirror comes for me!
EK THE NYKTOZ THN XAPHN
RENNHOHKEZ EN MEAAINA RH
Grant me your power and fiery might
