Custom Robo Arena

Custom Robo Arena, known in Japan as Gekitō! Custom Robo (激闘!カスタムロボ, Gekitō! Kasutamu Robo, "Custom Robo Rumble!"), is a science fiction action role playing game for the Nintendo DS. It is the fifth title in the Custom Robo series. The name was announced on May 9, 2006 at the E3 convention, and released in Japan on October 19, 2006, then later in the United States on March 19, 2007. Later, on May 25, 2007, it became the first Custom Robo title released in Europe, and on September 20, 2007, it also became the first title of the series released in Australia.

In the game, the player participates in Custom Robo tournaments and tries to earn money to buy parts to use to improve their robo. The game is the first in the series that features two-player mode with the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection including voice chat, Multi-Card play, and DS Download Play. Custom Robo Arena also uses a "Rivals" list.

Plot

The game starts with a player-named male character whose father has just moved into the town of Midheart to work at NeoBrain, a robo research company. Upon arrival, the player met with Liv and Dennis of Team Numero Uno, a robo-battling club. After class on the first day, Team Numero Uno is forced to battle the Grapple Gang, led by Bull, the first major enemy. A teammate from Team Numero Uno switches to Bull's Team because they are undefeated in the school. The player decides to join the Numero Uno team. Later, the player fought Bull and the player's team may win or lose...

Custom Robo V2

Custom Robo V2 (カスタムロボV２, Kasutamu Robo Buitsū) is a Sci-Fi action role playing game developed by Noise and published by Nintendo. It was released for the Nintendo 64 in Japan on November 10, 2000. Later, on February 19, 2008, it was released for the Virtual Console in Japan, but it is unknown if it will be released in any region outside Japan for the Virtual Console. It is the second title of the Custom Robo series, as well as the last of the series for the Nintendo 64. It is also the first title of the series to allow up to four players to play, instead of two players.

Gameplay

The battle system in Custom Robo V2 is very similar to the first one, except it features tag-teaming, which was never used in later 3D Custom Robo titles except for Custom Robo: Battle Revolution for the Nintendo GameCube.

The gameplay of Custom Robo V2 is divided into two main parts the over world and Robo battles during the over world parts of the game it plays like any other RPG meaning that the player can play as a character in a free roaming world where other characters follow. The main object of the whole game is to finish its plot by collecting every Robo, battle part, and other items that the player wants, while winning every battle that moves the character from one part of the storyline to the next.

Custom Robo

Custom Robo (カスタムロボ, Kasutamu Robo) is a science fiction action role-playing video game franchise developed by NOISE and published by Nintendo Co., Ltd. in 1999.

The series currently spans five games, and has titles on the Nintendo 64, Nintendo Game Boy Advance, Nintendo GameCube and Nintendo DS. The most recent title in the series was first released in Japan on October 19, 2006, while it was later released in North America on March 19, 2007, in Europe on May 25, 2007, and in Australia on September 20, 2007.

International release

Since its inception in 1999, the Custom Robo series has largely been exclusive to Japan. In 2001, however, Nintendo released Super Smash Bros. Melee, a fighting game containing characters from throughout the company's history, worldwide. In the title's trophy room, three custom robos from Custom Robo V2 appeared as trophies: Ray Mk II, Bayonette, and Annie.

According to the upcoming release lists in several issues of Nintendo Power, Nintendo of America was planning to release Custom Robo GX, the third title in the series, but later canceled it for unknown reasons and decided to release Custom Robo: Battle Revolution, the fourth title in the series, which became the first to see an international release, in 2004. Released outside Japan simply as Custom Robo, the game was designed specifically with newcomers to the series in mind. The fifth title of the series, Custom Robo Arena, became the first and only Custom Robo title released globally.
