Crosslake, Minnesota

Crosslake is a city in Crow Wing County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 2,141 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Brainerd Micropolitan Statistical Area.

Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 36.89 square miles (95.54 km²), of which 25.74 square miles (66.67 km²) is land and 11.15 square miles (28.88 km²) is water.

History

Crosslake was incorporated in 1959. In 1972 it absorbed North Cross Lake, Minnesota.

2010 census

As of the census of 2010, there were 2,141 people, 1,027 households, and 651 families residing in the city. The population density was 83.2 inhabitants per square mile (32.1/km²). There were 2,799 housing units at an average density of 108.7 per square mile (42.0/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 98.5% White, 0.3% African American, 0.3% Native American, 0.1% Asian, 0.1% from other races, and 0.7% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.2% of the population.
