Cressa

Cressa is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Novara in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 90 kilometres (56 mi) northeast of Turin and about 25 kilometres (16 mi) northwest of Novara. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,480 and an area of 7.1 square kilometres (2.7 sq mi).

Cressa borders the following municipalities: Bogogno, Borgomanero, Fontaneto d'Agogna, and Suno.

Cressa (genus)

Cressa is a genus of plants in the morning glory family known generally as alkaliweeds. These plants are native to the tropical and subtropical areas of the world. They are clumpy and low-growing but usually have erect stems covered white-haired, green leaves. They produce tiny white flowers about half a centimeter across.
