Pavlov's Dog (band)

Pavlov's Dog is a 1970s progressive rock/AOR band formed in St. Louis, Missouri in 1972.

History

Pavlov's Dog originally was composed of vocalist David Surkamp, guitarist Steve Levin, keyboardists David Hamilton and Doug Rayburn, bassist Rick Stockton, drummer Mike Safron, and violinist Siegfried Carver (born Richard Nadler). Levin left the band during their inaugural year and was replaced by Steve Scorfina (formerly of REO Speedwagon). Carver departed the band following the release of the band's debut album Pampered Menial. For their second album At the Sound of the Bell (1976), Tom Nickeson was added to the line-up on guitar; switching to keyboards not long thereafter following the departure of Hamilton. Former Yes and King Crimson drummer Bill Bruford performed the drums on this album due to the absence of Safron; and when Safron did not receive a promised credit on the album sleeve he departed the band permanently and was replaced by Kirk Sarkistan. This line-up of the band remained until their dissolution in 1977.

Screwdriver (cocktail)

A screwdriver is a popular alcoholic highball drink made with orange juice and vodka. While the basic drink is simply the two ingredients, there are many variations; the most common one is made with one part vodka, one part of any kind of orange soda, and one part of orange juice. Many of the variations have different names in different parts of the world. The International Bartender Association has designated this cocktail as an IBA Official Cocktail.

History

This drink appears in literature as early as 1938 "And answered it "The famous Smirnoff Screwdriver", Just pour a jigger of smirnoff vodka over ice cubes, fill glass with orange juice and serve" Then later it is claimed that this drink was invented by American aviators "A Screwdriver —a half-orange-juice and half-vodka drink popularized by interned American aviators—costs a dollar including the customary barman's tip."

Crash! is a 1977 film directed by Charles Band. It starred José Ferrer, Sue Lyon, John Ericson, Leslie Parrish, John Carradine and Reggie Nalder.

Plot

Jealous invalid husband (Ferrer) tries to kill sexy blond wife (Lyon), who uses occult powers and devices to try to kill him.

DVD Release

A DVD of the film has been released in Germany, but it has yet to see a Region 1 DVD release.

Crash (The Human League album)

Crash is the fifth studio album by the British synthpop band The Human League, released in 1986. Crash would provide the band with their second US number-one single, "Human", the same year. It was produced by the American production team of Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis who also wrote several tracks.

Background

After spending two years recording their fourth album Hysteria, which met with only moderate commercial success, the band struggled to record further material. By 1985, musician/songwriter Jo Callis had left the group. Virgin Records, worried by the lack of progress in one of their leading acts, called the band principals to a meeting where a solution was sought. As the problem was perceived to be the lack of production, it was suggested that the band take up an offer to work with Minneapolis based production duo Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. Jam and Lewis who had written for and produced The SOS Band, Cherrelle and Alexander O'Neal, and had just finished working on Janet Jackson's breakthrough album Control. They had developed an interest in The Human League after the success of their US releases; they were also seeking an opportunity to cross over into the mainstream pop and saw The Human League as the perfect opportunity.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is an open world action-adventure video game developed by Rockstar North and published by Rockstar Games. It was released on 26 October 2004 for the PlayStation 2 console, and on 7 June 2005 for Microsoft Windows and Xbox. It is the seventh title in the Grand Theft Auto series, and the first main entry since 2002's Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. It was released on the same day as the handheld game Grand Theft Auto Advance.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is played from a third-person perspective in an open world environment, allowing the player to interact with the game world at their leisure. The game is set within the fictional US state of San Andreas, which is heavily based on California and Nevada. The state of San Andreas consists of three metropolitan cities: Los Santos, based on Los Angeles; San Fierro, based on San Francisco; and Las Venturas, based on Las Vegas. The single-player story follows Carl "CJ" Johnson, who returns home to Los Santos after learning of his mother's murder. CJ finds his old friends and family in disarray, and over the course of the game he attempts to re-establish his old gang, clashes with corrupt cops, and gradually unravels the truth behind his mother's murder. The plot is based on multiple real-life events in Los Angeles, including the rivalry between the Bloods and Crips street gangs, the 1980s crack epidemic, the LAPD Rampart scandal, and the 1992 Los Angeles riots.

Fin (disbanded)

Fin (not to be confused with British rock band Fin) were a British alternative rock band formed in 1993, who achieved mild success on the independent circuit in the UK.

Their initial release, "Headstrong", was financed by money received from the BBC, after the company used a video clip of a Fin song in a film version of the Roddy Doyle novel The Snapper. They toured regularly, including support slots for bands as diverse as Tindersticks and The Cranberries. Their debut album Positive (which was mainly a singles compilation) was well received by critics, but sold poorly and the band split up in 1997. In 2008, frontman Johnny Daukes returned with a new band, All Our Good Friends.

Fin (band)

fiN is a British rock band formed in South West London, Surrey, England in 2011. The band consists of Luke Joyce (Vocals/Guitar) Jonny Garner (Guitar), Kerry Lambert (Bass) and Simon Harding (Drums). fiN began releasing music in October 2011 with a debut Double A side single The Artisan/It Changes Everything (2011); The band were quickly labeled as the Heaviest Indie band around and are likened to Foo fighters, dEUS (band) & Radiohead.

Each Single had a self-made video and a download code. They Self Recorded their debut album "Life Is Wasted On The Living" and released it (digitally) on 25 March 2013.
