One Court Square

One Court Square, also known as the Citigroup Building, is a 50-story 200.5-metre (658 ft) office tower in Long Island City, Queens across the East River from Manhattan in New York City. It was completed in 1990 by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP for Citigroup. The tower is the tallest building in New York City (and State) outside of Manhattan.WNYZ-LP (also known as Pulse 87) broadcasts from the top of this building.

It is not to be mistaken for the Citigroup Center in Manhattan, which is across the street from Citigroup's main headquarters at 399 Park Avenue. Both buildings are accessible via subway stations on the IND Queens Boulevard Line (E M trains).

The building is parodied in the video game Grand Theft Auto IV as the LC24 Tower.

Court Square

Court Square in Springfield, Massachusetts, USA, is a park and historic district in the heart of Springfield's urban Metro Center neighborhood. Court Square is the City of Springfield's only topographical constant since its founding in 1636. It is bounded by Court Street, Main Street, State Street, East Columbus Avenue, and features Elm Street and a scenic pedestrian-only walkway from the courthouse toward Springfield's historic Old First Church.

Springfield's Old First Church has been located in Court Square since the 17th century. It was the twentieth parish formed in the Massachusetts Bay Colony, and was gathered in 1637, the year after Springfield was founded. The first meetinghouse was erected just east of this site in 1645. The current Old First Church (b. 1819) is the fourth building on this site, built by a Northampton architect, Isaac Damon. The rooster weathervane on the steeple was crafted by a Coppersmith in London, England, and brought to this country in 1750. Here inventor Thomas Blanchard and abolitionist John Brown worshipped; Daniel Webster spoke; and Jenny Lind sang.

Court Square (New York City Subway)

Court Square is a New York City Subway station complex on the IND Crosstown Line, the IRT Flushing Line and the IND Queens Boulevard Line. The complex is located in the vicinity of One Court Square in Long Island City, Queens and is served by the:

The complex comprises three separate stations, formerly known as 23rd Street – Ely Avenue (Queens Boulevard Line), Long Island City – Court Square (Crosstown Line), and 45th Road – Court House Square (Flushing Line). Following the opening of the Citibank office tower at One Court Square, a passageway was built underneath connecting the Queens Boulevard Line and Crosstown Line stations.

On December 16, 2001, service on the Queens Boulevard Line was increased by the connection of the IND 63rd Street Line, requiring G trains to terminate at Court Square on weekdays. To compensate Crosstown riders going into Queens, a free out-of-system transfer to the Flushing Line station was created.
