Cornell Road

Cornell Road is an east–west street and traffic corridor in the Portland metropolitan area, in Multnomah and Washington counties in the U.S. state of Oregon. It crosses the Tualatin Mountains (West Hills) between the Willamette Valley and the city of Portland on the east and the Tualatin Valley and the city of Hillsboro on the west.

Cornell Road runs between the western end of Northwest Lovejoy Street in the Hillside neighborhood of Portland to East Main Street in Hillsboro, passing through unincorporated parts of Washington County and through Beaverton on the way. On the east side of its intersection with Cornelius Pass Road, it is called Northwest Cornell Road, as it lies within a section of Hillsboro where the compass directions in street names remain based on the Portland grid, and this section is in the northwest quadrant of the Portland-centered metropolitan area. On the west side of Cornelius Pass Road, it is called Northeast Cornell Road, as it runs through the northeast quadrant of Hillsboro.

Dracula

The Castlevania games have always had a single focus on the main antagonist, Dracula (ドラキュラ, Dorakyura), who is based on the original character by Bram Stoker. With a few exceptions, Dracula has been the villain of every title.

Originally named Mathias Cronqvist, Dracula is a former mortal turned wicked following the death of his wife. His lust for vengeance turned him into an immortal vampire. He later took the name Count Vlad Tepes Dracula. He desires to wage war against humanity for having killed his second wife (she was accused of witchcraft and burned at the stake) and take the world under his possession, but has been foiled by the Belmonts in every generation of his immortal life. When defeated, Dracula is prophesied to return again every 100 years, with a curse placed on the Belmont Clan, beginning with Leon Belmont. The only known Belmont Dracula has been able to defeat, though posthumously, is Simon Belmont.

Road (band)

Road was an American hard rock band that formed in Los Angeles, California in 1970. Comprising bassist/vocalist Noel Redding (previously of The Jimi Hendrix Experience and Fat Mattress), guitarist/vocalist Rod Richards (formerly of Rare Earth) and drummer/vocalist Leslie Sampson, the band released one album, Road, in 1972.

The band is no relation to the Dutch band Road active at the same time with "Never Leave Me Lonely" 1971.

History

Road was formed in 1970, after Redding left Fat Mattress and Richards left Rare Earth. The band recorded their self-titled album at the Record Plant Studios in Los Angeles, California in 1972, the album was released later in the year before the group disbanded. In the brief time they were together, Redding and Sampson participated in the jam sessions that resulted in Randy California's 1972 Kapt. Kopter and the (Fabulous) Twirly Birds album. Following Road, Redding and Sampson formed The Noel Redding Band, while Richards went on to a solo career. Sampson also joined Stray Dog, played in The Gas in the early 80s and Sally Barker And The Rhythm and The Pirates in the 90s.

Road (film)

Road is a 2002 bollywood, Neo-noir road movie, produced by Ram Gopal Varma and directed by Rajat Mukherjee, starring Vivek Oberoi, Manoj Bajpai and Antara Mali. An eloped couple Arvind (Vivek Oberoi) and Lakshmi (Antara Mali), en route Delhi to Jodhpur on a deserted highway, encounter a mad wayfarer (Vijay Raaz), an Hitchhiker Babu (Manoj Bajpai) who turns out to be a serial psychopath killer, Inderpal (Makrand Deshpande) a happy go lucky, intelligent, responsible truck driver and an irresponsible, eccentric cop (Sayaji Shinde).

Plot

Arvind (Vivek Oberoi) and Lakshmi (Antara Mali) are in love and want to get married. However, Lakshmi's dad, a cop, is against their affair. Hence the two decide to elope from Delhi and travel to get married at Arvind's ancestral haveli in Rajgarh, Alwar, Rajasthan, by road, passing by a desert, in a Tata Safari.

After an escape from an aggravated assault, by a mad wayfarer, they bump into a smooth-talking hitchhiker Babu (Manoj Bajpai) who is stranded in the middle of no where. Babu convinces the young couple to give him a lift. Travelling with Babu proves a nightmare for Arvind and Lakshmi, Babu turns out to be a psychopath. Soon, Lakshmi finds herself hostage of an armed Babu. Thanks to the timely intervention of a truck driver Inderpal (Makrand Deshpande) and the highway petrol bunk owner, an aspiring actor Bhanwar Singh (Rajpal Yadav), Arvind rescues Lakshmi from Babu.
