Copy (album)

COPY is the debut album by the Japanese electronic artist Mitsuki Aira. It was released on September 8, 2008 as a CD, in two editions, both containing the singles "Colorful Tokyo Sounds No. 9", "China Discotica" and "Darling Wondering Staring". "Galaxy Boy" was used as the ending theme to Aichi Television's program Bonita! Bonita!! and The Dream Car Club of Tamoei Yakushiji. The album reached a peak daily position of number 31 on the Oricon chart, and a peak weekly position of number 48 and sold 3,163 copies.

A limited release of the album was produced for a lower price, only containing tracks one through twelve. Track eight, High Bash (Original ver.) (ハイバッシュ (Original ver.)), was replaced with High Bash (Yakenohara ver.) (ハイバッシュ (YAKENOHARA ver.)) in this edition.

Bonus discs

Two external CDs were given away with purchases of either edition of the album for a limited time at certain Tower Records and HMV. Tower Records distributed a bonus disc containing a "Yakenohara Megamix" while HMV distributed a bonus disc containing "L0ne1yBoy L0ne1yGirl", which was later included as a coupling track on the HMV exclusive single, Valentine Step.

Copy (musician)

Copy, real name Marius Libman, is an electronic music artist on the Audio Dregs record label. He has released 3 full-length albums, along with 3 "DJ Copy" remix CDs. Copy was chosen as the winner of Willamette Week's "Best New Band" award for 2006, which showcases the top new artists in Copy's native Portland, Oregon.

Bootleg Remix CDs

In 2006, Copy released his first remix CD under the 'DJ Copy' moniker - it featured 6 remixes of R&B/pop artists including Mariah Carey and Mary J. Blige. The disc was called "The Diva Mixtape" and was not released digitally. The next year, DJ Copy released another remix CD - this time of rap group Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. The disc was titled "Bone Thugs-N-Harmony-N-Copy", and featured 6 remixes of songs by the group including "Ecstasy" and "Tha Crossroads". The disc came with CD order of Hair Guitar from Audio Dregs. In the same frame of time that Hard Dream was produced, Copy created a remix CD of R. Kelly songs called "The Pied Piper of Electro". It came free with a preorder of the Hard Dream CD from Audio Dregs. Regarding the R. Kelly CD, Libman said in an interview with Willamette Week that he "grew up listening to a lot of hip-hop and R&B, but it’s never really come to the forefront of [his] music until now".

Boy (Marcella Detroit song)

"Boy" is a song by US singer Marcella Detroit, released in December 1996 as the third single from her album Feeler. Although the most successful of all four singles released from Feeler, the song performed poorly nonetheless, peaking at #102 on the UK Singles Chart.

Freddy Moore

Frederick George "Freddy" Moore (born July 19, 1950) is an American rock musician probably best known for his 1980 song "It's Not A Rumour", which he co-wrote with his then-wife Demi Moore, and recorded with his band The Nu-Kats. The song was not a chart hit, but the video did receive airplay on MTV in the early 1980s.

History

Moore was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and aside from his family's brief move to San Francisco, California in 1964/65, grew up in the Twin Cities area. "I didn't have any friends and really didn't want any. I just sat in my room and played Beatle songs and wrote my own," he claims. At this point, he was known as Rick Moore.

He graduated from Richfield, Minnesota High School in 1968. Fearful that he would be drafted to serve in the Vietnam War, he enrolled at the University of Minnesota to study Music Theory and Composition under composer Dominick Argento.

After performances with his band An English Sky, Moore started performing as "Skogie", circa 1970, and soon after formed Skogie and the Flaming Pachucos. Later, the band name reverted to Skogie.

Boy (1969 film)

Boy (少年, Shōnen) is a 1969 Japanese film directed by Nagisa Oshima, starring Tetsuo Abe, Akiko Koyama and Fumio Watanabe.

Plot

Based on real events reported in Japanese newspapers in 1966Boy follows the title character, Toshio Omura, across Japan, as he is forced to participate in a dangerous scam to support his dysfunctional family. Toshio's father, Takeo Omura, is an abusive, lazy veteran, who forces his wife, the boy's stepmother, Takeko Tamiguchi, to feign being hit by cars in order to shake down the motorists. When his wife is unable to perform the scam, Toshio is enlisted. The boy's confused perspective of the scams and his chaotic family life are vividly captured in precisely edited sequences. As marital strife, mounting abuse, and continual moving take their toll, the boy tries to escape, either by running away on trains, or by retreating into a sci-fi fantasy he has constructed for his little brother and himself. Finally, in snowy Hokkaidō, the law finally catches up when the little brother unwittingly causes a fatal car accident. Although traumatized, Toshio tries to help his family elude capture in the final sequence, presented in documentary fashion, describing their arrest.
