1991 Copper Bowl

The 1991 edition to the Copper Bowl featured the Indiana Hoosiers and the Baylor Bears.

In the first quarter, Indiana quarterback Trent Green scored on a 1-yard touchdown run making it 7-0 Indiana. In the second quarter, Indiana got a 27-yard field goal from Bonnell making the lead 10-0. Vaughn Dunbar scored on a 5-yard touchdown run giving Indiana a 17-0 halftime lead. In the fourth quarter, Trent Green scored on a 4-yard touchdown run, making the final margin 24-0. The 1991 Copper Bowl is Indiana's last Bowl win.

1993 Copper Bowl

The 1993 edition to the Copper Bowl featured the Wyoming Cowboys and the Kansas State Wildcats.

K-State capped off its most successful season in 83 years, with its first-ever bowl game victory. The 20th ranked Kansas State Wildcats, making only their second bowl appearance in school history, defeated the Wyoming Cowboys, 52-17.

Wyoming took a quick 3-0 lead on a 35-yard field goal, but K-State put its high-powered offense into overdrive and scored on its first three possessions. J.J. Smith put K-State on the board with a two-yard TD run and Tate Wright added a 22-yard field goal before K-State drove 76 yards on its third possession to take a 16-3 edge on a Chad May TD plunge. All-American Andre Coleman closed out the first half with a 68-yard punt return to put K-State ahead 24-10 at the break then blew things open with a 61-yard touchdown catch just 54 seconds into the third quarter.

Freshman All-American Kevin Lockett put K-State ahead 38-10 midway through the third quarter with a 30-yard touchdown reception before reserve running back Leon Edwards added a 13-yard touchdown run and cornerback Kenny McEntyre provided the game’s crowning moment with a 37-yard interception return for a score.

1989 Copper Bowl

The 1989 edition to the Copper Bowl featured the Arizona Wildcats and the NC State Wolfpack.

Arizona scored first on a 37-yard touchdown pass from Ronald Veal to Olatide Ogundiditimi giving Arizona a 7-0 lead throughout the 1st quarter. In the second quarter, with NC State driving, Shane Montgomery's pass was intercepted by Scott Geyer and returned 85 yards for a touchdown, making it 14-0 Arizona. Montgomery later found Todd Varn in the end zone for a 4-yard touchdown pass cutting the lead to 14-7. Arizona took a 17-7 halftime lead on a 34-yard Gary Coston field goal. In the third goal, a 43-yard Hartman field goal made the final score 17-10.
