2010 Copa Colombia

The 2010 Copa Colombia, officially the 2010 Copa Postobón for sponsorship reasons, is the 9th edition of the Copa Colombia, the national cup competition for clubs of DIMAYOR. It began on February 24 and ended on November 3. The winner, Deportivo Cali, earned a berth in the 2011 Copa Sudamericana.

Format

The format for 2010 differs from last year's. A total of 16 teams (instead of 12), which include the group winners, runners-up, and the four best third-placed teams, advance from the first phase to the second phase.

Group A comprises teams from the Caribbean Region.

Group B

Group B comprises teams from the Paisa Region.

Group C

Group C comprises teams from Santander, Norte de Santander, and Boyacá.

Group D

Group D comprises teams from Bogotá and Villavicencio.

Group F

Group F comprises teams from Cundinamarca and the western part of the country.

In all tables, Team #2 played the second leg at home.

2009 Copa Colombia

The 2009 Copa Colombia football tournament, officially the 2009 Copa Postobón for sponsorship reasons, was the 8th edition of the Copa Colombia, the national football cup competition for clubs of Colombia's DIMAYOR league. It began on March 4 and ended on November 18. Santa Fe won the tournament for their 2nd title.

Format

The format for 2009 remains the same as last year's. The winner of will earn a berth in the 2010 Copa Sudamericana.

2013 Copa Colombia

The 2013 Copa Colombia, officially the 2013 Copa Postobón for sponsorship reasons, was the 12th edition of the Copa Colombia, the national cup competition for clubs of DIMAYOR. It began on February 15 and ended on November 8. The tournament comprised a total of 36 teams. The winner earned a berth to the 2014 Copa Sudamericana.

Group stage

The 36 teams were divided into six groups based on each separate region of Colombia. Each group was played in home-and-away round-robin format. The group winners and runners-up, along with the four best third-placed teams, advanced to the Round of 16. The matches were played from February 13 to June 5.

Knockout phase

Each tie in the knockout phase was played in home-and-away two-legged format. In each tie, the team which had the better overall record up to that stage host the second leg, except in the round of 16 where the group winners automatically hosted the second leg. In case of a tie in aggregate score, neither the away goals rule nor extra time was applied, and the tie was decided by a penalty shoot-out.

Columbia sheep

TheColumbia is one of the first breeds of sheep developed in the United States. The product of USDA and university research, it was intended to be an improved breed specially built for the Western ranges of the country (where the majority of sheep raising takes place). Beginning in 1912 in Laramie, Wyoming, Lincoln rams were crossed with Rambouillet ewes. Characteristics

Adult rams weigh between 275 and 400 lb (125 and 181 kg), while females weigh between 175 and 300 lb (79 and 136 kg). An average fleece from an ewe weighs from 10 to 16 lb (4.5 to 7.3 kg) with a yield of 45 to 55%. The staple length of the wool ranges from 3.5 to 5 in (8.9 to 12.7 cm). The wool is classified as medium wool with a spin count of 50s to 60s. The wool varies from 31.0 to 24.0 microns.
