Nemo is a French progressive rock band based in Le Puy-en-Velay Haute-Loire.
The band was founded by guitarist, singer and songwriter Jean-Pierre Louveton, and was initially influenced by Genesis and Ange.
Nemo, the Classic Comics Library was a magazine devoted to the history and creators of vintage comic strips. Created by comics historian Rick Marschall, it was published between 1983 and 1990 by Fantagraphics.
Nemo ran for 31 issues (the last being a double issue) plus one annual. Most issues were edited by Marschall. The title was taken from the classic comic strip Little Nemo. While some issues were thematic, most were a mix of articles, interviews, comic strip reprints and more.
Marschall later went on to co-found another magazine about comics, Hogan's Alley.
During that same period in the 1980s, Fantagraphics launched an imprint, Nemo Bookshelf, the Classic Comics Library. This was a line of classic comic strip reprint books, including Little Orphan Annie, Pogo, Red Barry, Dickie Dare, The Complete E. C. Segar Popeye and Prince Valiant.
The following list is a collection of prominent characters from the Ace Combat series of video games by Namco.
The main character of Ace Combat 2, Scarface One is an ace who achieves legendary status through the course of the war. He single-handedly destroys both the coup force Super Powerful Cruise Missiles, the Dragonet class submarine, all of Z.O.E. fighters and the Fortress Intolerance. His fate after the war is unknown.
John is the third member of Scarface Squadron (besides the main character and Nagase), and appears to be of the same ethnicity of Swordsman in AC5 and Keith in AC3. Slash's planes differ from Edge's in that Slash has better attacker aircraft. While not appearing again in any major form in the series storyline, he joins Ouroboros in AC3 according to a newscast. A person with the same name appears in AC04, patrolling over Stonehenge, and it is possible that they are in fact, the same person. One of the crew members of the Arkbird is also, by coincidence, named John Harvard. His hobby appears to be vehicle tuning and his favourite food is the hamburger.
A cookie is a small, flat, sweet, baked good, usually containing flour, eggs, sugar, and either butter, cooking oil or another oil or fat. It may include other ingredients such as raisins, oats, chocolate chips or nuts.
In most English-speaking countries except for the US and Canada, crisp cookies are called biscuits. Chewier cookies are commonly called cookies even in the UK. Some cookies may also be named by their shape, such as date squares or bars.
Cookies may be mass-produced in factories, made in small bakeries or home-made. Cookie variants include sandwich cookies, which are using two thin cookies with a filling of creme (e.g., Oreos), marshmallow or jam and dipping the cookie in chocolate or another sweet coating. Cookies are often served with beverages such as milk, coffee or tea. Factory-made cookies are sold in grocery stores, convenience stores and vending machines. Fresh-baked cookies are sold at bakeries and coffeehouses, with the latter ranging from small business-sized establishments to multinational corporations such as Starbucks.
Cookie is a Japanese Josei manga magazine published bimonthly by Shueisha. As of 2008, the circulation was about 175,000, which by 2015 had declined to 56,000, part of an industry-wide trend.
Cookie is related to Ribon. Ribon Comic, a monthly magazine which was a sister magazine of Ribon, changed its title to Bouquet (ぶ〜け) in 1978. Bouquet stopped publication in March 2000.
In 1996, the Ribon editing department at Shueisha began publishing a manga magazine called Ribon Teens which featured a mixture of both the then-new and popular Ribon manga artists like Ai Yazawa, Miho Obana, and Mihona Fujii, and classic Ribon manga artists like Jun Hasegawa, Koi Ikeno, and Aoi Hiiragi. This magazine was published a couple of times in 1996 and 1997 before folding. In 1999, Shueisha revived the Ribon Teens concept in a new magazine which soon received the title Cookie. The first issue of Cookie was soon published and the second issue followed in 2000 and being published on the 26th of each month.
Cookie is the second compilation album by the English alternative rock band Lush. It was released on 01 Dec 1994 on 4AD. It is a compilation of Desire Lines and Hypocrite b-sides.
Seven branches on my window
Waiting for the sun to come around
Take this on an empty stomach
Waiting for the spring to come around
Save yourself
By the way
Never ride alone
Take me down easy
I can't stand the sight or the smell
It's getting harder and harder and harder and harder to tell
Tell me when the blood stops flowing
Let it rest, it's run into the ground
Just in case the dogs are feeding
Shut the door so they won't hear the sound
Save Yourself
By the way
Never ride alone
Show me no quarter
I can't stand the sight or the smell
It's getting harder and harder and harder and harder to tell
Put me to pasture
I can't stand the sight or the smell
