Metro station

A metro station or subway station is a railway station for a rapid transit system, often known by names such as "metro", "underground" and "subway". Such a station can be elevated, underground, or about ground level depending on the level of the train tracks. At crossings of metro lines, they are multi-level. There are entrances/exits at ground/street level, often with stairs or sometimes ramps or escalators leading to any elevated or lowered track level area.

At street level the logo of the metro company marks the entrance of the station, along with the schematics of the services at the station. Some metro operators also post the station name at the station entrance. Often there are several entrances for one station, saving one from having to cross the street. In such a case, tunnels or overhead stations can often also be used just to cross the street.

In some cases metro stations are connected to important buildings by a direct enclosed hallway (see underground city).

Metro Station is an American synthpop band that was formed in Los Angeles by Trace Cyrus and Mason Musso. In late 2006, the band signed a recording contract with Columbia Records and RED Ink Records. The band is best known for the Top 10 Billboard hit single "Shake It" from their self-titled debut album. In 2010, tension between Cyrus and Musso caused the band to go on hiatus. In 2011 the band returned, however it was announced that Cyrus was no longer a part of the group and Musso had purchased the rights to the name. An EP entitled Middle of the Night was released in 2013, which was led by the single "Every Time I Touch You". In 2014 Cyrus returned to the band and a new single entitled "Love & War" was released. In 2015, the band released a second full-length album titled Savior.

The band is often described as a scene pop band due to their sense of fashion and unique blend of various pop styles.

    History

    Beginnings

In 2006, Mason Musso and Trace Cyrus agreed to meet on the set of Hannah Montana, which starred Mason's brother, Mitchel, and Trace's sister, Miley. Sharing musical interests, they decided to form a band. Shortly thereafter, Cyrus recruited Blake Healy from Synthetic Joy as a keyboardist, synthesist, and bassist. Cyrus remained the singer and the lead guitarist. Musso became the group's main singer and rhythm guitarist.

    Dear Hannah

    by: Metro Station

    Dear Hannah.
    Dear Hannah.
There are friends who get my things,
Back from your place while you're away.
I'll get the chance to say the things,
I should have said, but couldn't say.
    Hannah dear, forever friends.
    Sincerely yours, never again.
Dear Hannah, have a drink on me.
Dear Hannah, bend your hand away.
Dear Hannah, how did it feel to trade my trust for a touch,
And your soul for a quick fuck?
I'll imagine that we never met.
You'll do the same, from the looks of it.
    Imagine that you never lied,
Oh yeah that's right, it's what you did the fist time.
    Hannah dear, forever friends.
    Sincerely yours, never again.
Dear Hannah, have a drink on me.
Dear Hannah, bend your hand away.
