Visible was an album by Canadian progressive rock band CANO, released in 1985.

It was the band's final studio album. Marcel Aymar, David Burt, Michel Dasti and Michel Kendell were joined on Visible by Ben Mink replacing Wasyl Kohut, who died of a brain aneurysm, and Mary Lu Zahalan replacing Rachel Paiement, who had moved to the west coast and married Jim Vallance.

The album was strong and revitalized the band briefly. It included "Fond d'une bouteille", which was the French version of a song recorded on the Camouflage album, and "L'eloueze" which was written in Aymar's native Acadian dialect, and most poignantly "J'ai bien vécu", a tribute to band founder André Paiement, who committed suicide in 1978.

  • Visibility (geometry)

Visibility is a mathematical abstraction of the real-life notion of visibility.

Given a set of obstacles in the Euclidean space, two points in the space are said to be visible to each other, if the line segment that joins them does not intersect any obstacles. (In the Earth's atmosphere light follows a slightly curved path that isn't perfectly predictable, complicating the calculation of actual visibility.)

Computation of visibility is among the basic problems in computational geometry and has applications in computer graphics, motion planning, and other areas.

  • Batman: Contagion

"Contagion" is the name of a story arc that ran through the various Batman family comic book series. It concerns the outbreak of a lethal disease in Gotham City, and Batman's attempts to combat it. The events of this story lead into "Batman: Legacy" and "Batman: Cataclysm", which itself leads into "No Man's Land". It ran from March through April 1996.

    Plot

Azrael sent a report to Batman — a plague connected to the Order of St. Dumas was on its way to Gotham City. Robin found a plane originating from the area which had just landed in Gotham. Batman went to investigate at a military facility where the Ebola Gulf-A virus, also known as "The Clench", was being studied. He found a man in quarantine who had been accidentally infected.

Batman and Robin checked out a possible carrier who lived in a self-sustained condo neighborhood for the extremely rich. They confirmed he had been infected and began seeking a survivor from a previous outbreak. The residents of Babylon Towers also sought this person out. They pooled their riches and hired bounty hunters. Robin and Alfred arrived in Canada to find him. Catwoman was already there.

Jack Stapleton and Laurie Montgomery series

The Jack Stapleton and Laurie Montgomery series is an ongoing series of New York Times Bestselling medical thrillers by Robin Cook that follows pathologist Jack Stapleton and his co-worker (and later wife) Laurie Montgomery as they attempt to solve the various mysteries that come across their path.

    Synopsis

The series follows Jack Stapleton, a medical examiner and pathologist who spends most of his free time focusing on various medical cases in order to avoid having to think about the deaths of his wife and children. He teams up with his co-worker and fellow pathologist Laurie Montgomery in order to solve various crimes, with the two eventually falling in love and marrying. Laurie was earlier in a relationship with Lou, a police officer and Jack and Laurie's mutual friend.

    Chromosome 6

When notorious underworld figure Carlo Franconi is gunned down, his Mafioso competitors become prime suspects. Suspicions are fueled when Franconi's body disappears from the city morgue before it can be autopsied—much to the embarrassment of the chief medical examiner and the mayor, but to the amusement of the morgue's resident cynic, forensic pathologist Dr. Jack Stapleton.
