Connected (Ayumi Hamasaki song)

"Connected" is a song recorded by Japanese recording artist and lyricist Ayumi Hamasaki for her fourth studio album I Am..., released on January 1, 2002. The song was written by Hamasaki herself while it was produced by Dutch disc jockey Ferry Corsten. The song was first conceived when Corsten had developed a track in Europe entitled "The Lost of Love". Despite him playing it at several events and shows throughout Europe, he did not release the track. After this, Hamasaki and Corsten had started to collaborate and the pair had changed and used the finishing result to create "Connected".

Musically, "Connected" is a trance song that utilizes electro and dance music, which was a prominent musical genre during early 2000s. The song achieved favorable reception from most music critics, who had praised the musical collaboration and electronic influence within the album. However, some critics were divided by the lack of progression and Hamasaki's vocal abilities. Being released in Europe in April 2003 as her first European single, the song did not chart in any important record charts neither did it chart on Oricon. An accompanying music video was shot for the single by Kouji Morimoto and featured anime inspired themes and features people in a futuristic city.

Connectivity (graph theory)

In mathematics and computer science, connectivity is one of the basic concepts of graph theory: it asks for the minimum number of elements (nodes or edges) that need to be removed to disconnect the remaining nodes from each other. It is closely related to the theory of network flow problems. The connectivity of a graph is an important measure of its robustness as a network.

Connected graph

A graph is connected when there is a path between every pair of vertices. In a connected graph, there are no unreachable vertices. A graph that is not connected is disconnected.
A graph with just one vertex is connected. An edgeless graph with two or more vertices is disconnected.

Definitions of components, cuts and connectivity

In an undirected graph G, two vertices u and v are called connected if G contains a path from u to v. Otherwise, they are called disconnected. If the two vertices are additionally connected by a path of length 1, i.e. by a single edge, the vertices are called adjacent. A graph is said to be connected if every pair of vertices in the graph is connected.

ReConnected was a British vocal group that was formed from the boy band, Connected, which was a finalist in the fourth series of Britain's Got Talent in 2010. The group consisted of Harry Mondryk, Max Mondryk, and Matthew Fitzgerald.

History

2010-2014: Britain's Got Talent & Split

In 2010, Connected finished in eighth place for the fourth series of Britain's Got Talent. The group performed on the Britain's Got Talent Live Tour, across arenas all over the UK, covering songs such as "Never Forget" by Take That, "Everybody in Love" by JLS, and "Don't Stop Me Now" by Queen. Their last gig was on 18 July, at the Midlands Music Festival in Tamworth, which had an attendance figure of over 20,000.

On 30 July, Connected announced on Facebook that it had split with the Ryan twins, and was forming a new band. The Ryans were very disappointed and upset about the surprise notification. Connor Ryan commented in an interview with Manchester Evening News that "We were there the day before and they were our best friends. Nothing was wrong, we didn’t fall out and it was just very confusing...We found out on the internet, like most of the other fans. It was horrible." The Ryans went on to form Myles and Connor; the remaining three members signed with Cent Management and Freedom Management, the latter of which was from Connected's promoter, Kevin Newton. The new group was named ReConnected. Songwriter-producer Tim Woodcock has agreed to work on developing songs and music for the group.

List of Muppets

The Muppets are a group of comedic puppet characters originally created by Jim Henson who have appeared in multiple television series and films since the 1950s. The majority of the characters listed here originated on The Muppet Show, a television series that aired from 1976 to 1981. Since then, several more characters have been introduced in other television series, as well as theatrical films.

The first Muppet characters appeared as early as 1955, in Sam and Friends, a Washington, D.C.-based show that was on the air for six years. Kermit the Frog was one of the show's regulars, and thus was one of Henson's first Muppet creations. The characters became a household name after their appearance in the children's television program Sesame Street. Henson was initially reluctant to become involved with Sesame Street because he feared being pigeon-holed as a children's performer, but agreed to work on the show to further his social goals. The characters created for that series are now owned by the Sesame Workshop, the producers of Sesame Street, and are now considered a separate franchise.

Robin (answering machine)

The Robin is the sales name for the BT Answering Machine number 202A or 202B. It was released by British Telecommunications plc (now called BT Group) in 1985 and manufactured by Team Concepts International Ltd (Hong Kong).

The answering machine had a rather serious problem in that, if it was in "answer mode" and was inactivated (perhaps by a mains power failure), when the power was restored, it would not return to "answer mode" until the user manually restored it to such using a switch on the front of the machine. Despite this, it was a vast improvement on the BT Osprey answering machine.
