Come On Over (Jessica Simpson song)

"Come on Over" is a song by American recording artist Jessica Simpson from her sixth studio album, Do You Know. It was released on June 24, 2008 by Columbia Nashville as the lead single of the album. Co-written by country music artist Rachel Proctor, Victoria Banks and Simpson herself. "Come on Over" had a different reception from critics

The song was well received moderate. In the United States, "Come on Over" became the most-added song to country radio for the week of June 6, 2008, debuting at number 41 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. It broke a record held by Miranda Lambert ("Me and Charlie Talking") and Brad Cotter ("I Meant To") for highest-debuting first chart entry by a solo artist; both artists debuted at number 42 on that same chart. On July 12, 2008, the song peaked at number sixty-five on the Billboard Hot 100.

The music video for "Come on Over", it was directed by Liz Friedlander and shot in Little Creek Ranch, California. The video begins with Simpson standing outside her house making a phone call to her love interest. She is then shown inside her house sitting next to the kitchen sink, looking out of the living room windows. In other shots, Simpson sings with a live backing band in a barn house, and sits on the back of a pick-up van. At the end of the video, she is shown sitting in a bathtub after a man is depicted leaving his car; his face is not shown. The song was nominated for a 2008 CMT fan-voted online award in the category of best "(What? I've Always Been Country) Crossover Artist".

Come On Over (Royal Blood song)

"Come On Over" is a song written by Mike Kerr and Ben Thatcher of British rock duo Royal Blood. The song was originally recorded by the duo for the band's debut single, "Out of the Black", where it appeared as the B-side. The track later appeared as the third track on the band's debut extended play Out of the Black, and as the second track on the band's eponymous debut studio album, Royal Blood. The track also appeared on the band's third single, released by Black Mammoth Records and Warner Bros. Records on 21 April 2014.

"Come On" is a song by the South Korean rock band CN Blue, written by Jung Yong-hwa, translated in Japanese by Kenji Tamai and composed by Lee Jong-hyun. It was released on August 1, 2012 in 3 different editions: CD+DVD, Regular edition and Lawson store limited edition. It is the third major single of the group under Warner Music Japan and their sixth overall.

Background

The single was announced by their Korean label, FNC Media, on June 12, 2012, revealing details about the single. In June 25, it was revealed that the song will be used as opening theme song of TV Asahi's "Music ru TV" during July. In July 2, all single covers, tracklist and a teaser of the music video were released. At this same day, the first major album of the group in Japan was announced to be release on August 29. The Album will include the songs from the single and the songs from previous 2 singles "Where You Are" and "In My Head".

Every edition of the single will come with a different jacket cover and different features: the CD+DVD edition will include the CD single, a special DVD featuring the music video of "Come On" and a Special feature, a 44-pages photobook, four folded mini-posters, a serial code to unlock a special bonus feature and comes in a sleeve case. The regular edition will come with the CD single and a serial code. The Lawson limited ediiton will include with the CD single, 5 calendar cards and a serial code. This version will only be sold on Lawson.

Come On (EP)

Come On is a seven-track EP by indie rock band Elf Power. It features six cover songs and a remix of the Elf Power song "The Separating Fault". The EP was later included on the 2002 Elf Power album Nothing's Going to Happen.

"Come On" is the 22nd and final episode in the first season of the television series How I Met Your Mother. It originally aired on May 15, 2006.

Plot

Ted, having given up his previous date with his supposedly perfect match, has decided to pursue Robin yet again. Barney (acting on behalf of the Universe) slaps Ted, telling him it's a bad idea. Ted tells them that he will try only one more time, and if it does not work out, he will accept that it is not meant to be. Ted then surprises Robin in her apartment with candy, flowers, and a group of musicians with blue instruments (in reference to the Blue French horn he stole for her on their first date). Robin, while surprised, cannot give Ted a definite answer, especially after he learned that Robin's company camping trip is back on and Sandy Rivers is trying to date her now that he is moving on to CNN. Ted finally accuses Robin of ignoring her true feelings and urges her to "touch the ground", but it fails to win her over. Ted walks out frustrated, but breaks his promise by trying to get Robin again by doing a rain dance. After he convinces Penelope (a girl Barney hooked up with twice) to help him (as she has a Ph.D. in Native American studies), Ted tries to do a rain dance, which ultimately proves successful, and he then goes over to Robin's. Ted yells up to her from the street, telling her to come down (alluding to his previous demands for her to "touch the ground"), and the two finally become a couple.
