Colleen Evans

Colleen Evans (née Ballinger, born November 21, 1986) is an American comedian, actress, singer and YouTube personality. She is married to fellow YouTube personality and entertainer Joshua David Evans.

Evans is best known for her Internet character Miranda Sings, posting videos of the character on YouTube, and performing her one-woman comedy act on tour in theatres worldwide. She created the comically talentless, egotistical and quirky character to satirize the many YouTube videos featuring people singing badly, but who appear unaware of their lack of talent. In her videos and her stage act, the eccentric, narcissistic character sings and dances badly, discusses current events that she misunderstands, gives inept "tutorials", collaborates with other (apparently reluctant) YouTubers, and rants about her personal issues and her critics, whom she calls the "haters".

Evans also features comedy and lifestyle videos on her personal YouTube channel, PsychoSoprano, and another vlog channel, Colleen Vlogs. Her YouTube channels, combined, have surpassed 1.4 billion total views. In each of 2014 and 2015, Evans was nominated for a Teen Choice Award for "Web Star: Comedy", winning the award in 2015. She was also nominated for three 2015 Streamy Awards, winning one.The Hollywood Reporter selected her as one of its Top 25 Digital Stars.

Colleen is a 1936 Warner Bros. musical film directed by Alfred E. Green. It stars Dick Powell, Ruby Keeler, and Joan Blondell.

Plot

Colleen is the manager of a dress shop named "The Ames Company", owned by Donald Ames. They try to keep Uncle Cedric from working, because he'll ruin the company. Troubles start when he hires schemer Joe as his personal assistant. He later also hires Minnie, a woman who has a great passion for fashion. When he buys the dress shop for Minnie where Colleen works as a bookkeeper, a scandal is soon followed. Donald decides to shut the shop, but is stopped because of his infatuation towards Colleen. It is Colleen who eventually makes a profit out of the things that happened. Meanwhile, a man named Cedric tries to adopt Minnie. Minnie refuses and thereby causes a scandal. This angers Alicia, but the press can't get enough of it. Donald loses Colleen's affection and thus is sued by Joe.

Colleen was a rowboat used on Okanagan Lake in British Columbia, Canada in the late 1800s and early 1900s. She belonged to the Reverend Thomas Greene and served many early settlers and pioneers of the Okanagan, including W. D. Walker and Thomas Ellis, the earliest European settler in Penticton, British Columbia.
