In the Mirror is the third compilation album by Keyboardist Yanni, released on the Private Music label in 1997 (see 1997 in music). The album peaked at #1 on Billboard's "Top New Age Albums" chart and at #17 on the "Billboard 200" chart in the same year.
This is often billed as a Compilation of Yanni favorites, including "In the Mirror" which is a solo piano piece and faster pace tracks such as "Forbidden Dreams" and "Chasing Shadows". "Aria" are specially presented in this album as performed in concert on the album Live at the Acropolis.
In a review by Jonathan Widran of AllMusic, "Perhaps Private Music thought it could fool the casual Yanni fan by its continuous releasing of various collections by the New-age superstar, but the buyer should beware that a good handful of songs from this collection are also available on the recording Devotion: The Best of Yanni. Should you not already have that one, In the Mirror makes for a good introduction to the man and his music, both for its quieter romantic aspects (the title track, the acoustic piano gem "In the Morning Light") and more rambunctious synth adventures ("Within Attraction"). While many simply think Yanni composes overly sweet, featherweight themes and floats them over synth strings, there's sometimes a slightly richer artistry at work here. "Enchantment", for instance, is classically influenced, while "So Long My Friend" and "The End of August" are truly thoughtful elegies that run deeper than most of his compositions. His most familiar tunes, like "A Love for Life" and "Face in the Photograph", are on hand as well, as is the live version of the exotic, slightly bombastic chant tune, "Aria". This disc being quintessential Yanni, his fans will love it while detractors...well, maybe they should be looking in a slightly different mirror."

The Mirror is a 1978 horror novel by Marlys Millhiser about unwilling time-travel involving an evil antique mirror with unclear glass.
Shay Garrett's story, 1978 (and through time-travel, 1900–1924)
In 1978, 20-year-old Shay Garrett is preparing for her upcoming wedding to Marek Weir. Her mother, Rachael (Maddon) Garrett has a pre-wedding talk with her advising her to pull-out as she does not love Marek. Her father Jerry tells her he has unwrapped the mirror that fascinated her much and placed it in her bedroom. At that time, Shay's 98-year-old grandmother Bran is brought into the living-room in a wheelchair—when she hears Jerry's declaration, she grabs Shay's wrist and utters a very-surprised "mirror."
Shay goes into her bedroom and sees the mirror Jerry mentioned—an antique with claw-like feet and which is marred by a crack—and remembers that it only "fascinated" her due to being quite hideous. As Shay looks at herself in her wedding-veil (which had been passed down from Bran to Rachel to herself), giggling at the strange reflection and wondering what was told to Bran, she hears a sharp exclamation of "no" and discovers its source to be Bran—who then utters the name "Corbin" after which the room spins and a vortex grabs Shay.
The following is a complete list of episodes for the 1980s television series Dynasty, in broadcast order.
Season One was shown on Mondays in the USA.
Our circus closed, and the midnight ghost,
Comin' out as light's gone down.
Old and tired clown, no one is around,
Staring at the mirror - now listen...
Oh, show must go one,
Lived in the crowd, dyin' all alone...
Clown in the mirror - glitter and scars.
Here's the pleasure and pain looks as one...
Clown in the mirror - touchin' the stars,
Flyin' in dreams to the sun...
What a mask can say?
Cry the night away!
Askin' mirror - "tell me how long?"...
Wrigglin' all those years, through the laugher'n'tears,
Don't believe in hearts of stone...
Oh, show must go on,
Lived in the crowd, dyin' all alone...
Clown in the mirror, glitter and scars.
Here's pleasure and pain looks as one...
Clown in the mirror touchin' the stars,
Flyin' in dreams to the sun...
But the sun will rise, evil took the prize,
Something will remind you...
